Hello there.

My name is Mike Litsch. I work for DiabloSport Inc., a world wide leader in mostly domestic gas and diesel handheld tuning solutions.

We have been watching this market for a while now, and we are strongly considering the idea of bringing a handheld tuner/remote custom tuning solution to the Genesis world.

Some of you may be familiar with some of our past and current offerings. We've been offering full custom tuning for the entire Mustang lineup since the late 90s, we were the first to ever offer any tuning for the 05+ Corvette applications, we offer the only true custom tuning solution for all 05-current HEMI vehicles, and we even have a very strong presence in the SRT4 Neon market....yeah, we like tuning boosted vehicles too

I'm here to gauge interest, and do a little homework, thus I have a few questions for the community....

So far with the limited info I have gathered, it looks like the 09-12 2.0T models are pretty similar, and use the same PCM. The 13 got an electronic WG and some other changes, but is it the same PCM?
Whats up with the 3.8 V6...seems to be the most untapped market. How many V6 guys are out there ready to shell out some cash for a handheld device that ships with preloaded tunes for premium fuel, allows end user adjustments to specific parameters, and can accept custom tunes from our CMR software through tuning dealers (via email or on the dyno), and allows datalogging, code reading/clearing, etc...?

Can anyone provide part numbers for the various PCMs? That gets the ball rolling...
Anyone have a spare PCM they would like to get rid of?

I've heard some rumors of an open source project....anyone working on that who may prefer to get paid, well, hit me up

We're open to talk with any of the companies currently offering tuning solutions, as we can offer a huge worldwide distribution network, and these types of collaborations can be good for everyone in the long run.

I promise I'm not here to sell anything, and I hope there are no vendor rules being broken here. I promise we'll sign up to support the forum the day we have something to sell you guys, just like we do on countless other forums currently

Anyone that has info to share, we're all ears.
Any questions you have, fire away, I'll do my best to answer them.

Hopefully the demand for the tuning solutions we offer is as prevalent as I think it is, and we'll see this market grow like so many others we have jumped into.

Thanks!!

All depends on how much the "shell some cash out" really means bro! I seem ur products in some tv episodes and they seem legit! Like I said if all depends on prices.... More people tend to lean towards looks

Our current offerings vary in price from $389 to $599, and include the ability to load preloaded performance tunes, modify those tunes to a certain degree, support custom tuning from our dealer network that has our tuning software, allows datalogging, and lets you read and clear trouble codes.
The high end Trinity ($599) even has on screen gauges for monitoring, and a virtual dragstrip...

interested in a handheld for 3.8 as well. I'm waiting for something to come out to tune the gearing on the A/T

Would you guys be able to do something with Transmission control module, for the A/T guys..Will your tune give us more H/P then the tunes we already have??

i had one of these with my 02 mustang

and used it for datalog in my srt-4

it is a good product for the price

personnaly i prefer something more open like the propackage of SCT but that is not for most people

and the possibility to fine tune the tune setting with the handheld is a great option of diablo sport

personnaly i was looking into another direction because you were not there...because THERE WILL BE A TUNE, may the best product win

Piranha Racewerks has an open source tuning solution. You might wanna Google him and see if he'd be interested in working with you.

Does this answer your question:

I say Mike get to market as soon as possible and you will have tons of buyers, most tuning solutions are swapping ECU's or overwriting exsisting ECU's.

Can you have it have for all models?

The 2.0T market is probably the hotest right now, no offense 3.8 guys.
Interesting...let me be clear and start by saying I/we have the utmost respect for Cobb and what they do.

I've avoided several markets due to their clear dominance in those markets, and I'd probably rather not compete with them in any market :)

Lets hope in this case that we are seeing something that they are not, and lets make it happen :)

I can't get through all 7 pages there, anyone got the cliff notes?
Looking at the last page, it didn't seem much changed from the first page....

Thanks

How did I miss this thread. Like people have been posting and will post yes we are interested. Everyone and their mother is looking for a handheld tuning solution for the coupes. 2.0 guys will be very interested but I think the huge untapped market like you said is the 3.8 guys. They really really need more convenient tuning options and if you provide I see no problem selling your product. But don't cut corners and listen to the people that have been around since the coupe first came out.

Post it on FB for the folks that either have been banned or don't have a Gencoupe account

I would buy for the fact of i need two cars in one, as this is my daily driver i need fuel economy for my 1 hour and 45 min. Drive to work but I would love to have the extra hp for the rest if the time.
The only option for me is a second Ecu and tune (750$) and swap ecu's. Rather annoying to swap ecu's every time i want to play.
