So I know there's plenty of places to purchase the Genesis wing badge... and I know some of them say they are OEM (especially the ones on eBay), but if I were to go to the parts department at a dealership and order the Genesis wing badge for the trunk, would it fit perfectly on my Genesis coupe? I have a couple hundred dollars credit to spend at the Hyundai dealership and figured I'd get a badge out of it.

Im not sure what you mean by perfectly but I bought mine as a set off Amazon, chrome wings, carbon fiber look center caps and steering wheel emblem, the wings have the art of speed logo on the backings and it all arrived in a clear plastic bag with a Hyundai part number sticker on it. They seem to fit perfect to me, I bought a spair set just in case somthing wears out or breaks but almost 4 years latet they still look good.

No, the Coupe did not come with wing badges, not even in Korea if I remember correctly.

The only OEM wing badges are for the Sedan.

The closest thing to OEM GC wing badges are the loden badges from KAI. They are basically Sedan badges mounted to a backing plate so they fit the GC correctly.

So I guess what I'm hearing is that I can't get the badge through the dealership since it won't fit without modification. Guess I'll just spend the $40-$55 (whatever the going rate is) buying one online.

If you're going to spend money on a badge, go ahead and get a beautiful one from Jay Sampson (https://www.facebook.com/jay.sampson.1222). He basically takes the stock one's you'd get and makes them better, especially if you've got a color scheme or theme going on with your car.

There are NO genuine hyundai wing badges that would be made specifically for Genesis coupe, sedan only. All the wing badges are made in china, chrome, glossy or matte black or any other color.
Sedan badges fit but with backing plate, as wing badges fit without modifications.
There is only thre korean made wing badges that are made for coupe with direct fit made by Noble Style company, Tomato A&P wing badges and Sense Light led badges which are direct fit.

Majority of badges I see are cheep reproduction insted of oem genesis badge on the backing plate.
If wings point up - it's garbage and looks cheasy. Wings should be prety much horizontal (top of the wing).

This is OEM sedan badge mounted on backing plate.

I have these and they look good on the black car. Just got these center wheel caps that match ;) look killer on black wheels ;)

This is what KAI does, they just stick various badges together selling them as if they were made like that by manufacturer and then people ask me about M&S wheel caps and I told them they just stick M&S 60mm round badges to some wheel cap and present it like genuine M&S product and this is fraud. There are NO M&S wheel caps!

It looks like the one I have - picture posted 3 up.

Back plate looks as if it's OEM, at least on black.

I've been keeping an eye on the new OEM badges and I do dig them... but OEM badge looks humongous on the trunk of the coupe. Somebody need to make a badge that fits in the trunk slot that doesn't have any backing
plate, that would be cool. This way our paint could be the backing

Small logo fitted into the oval will not going to be proportional to the car size.. will look bad

I still have the crooked H... hate everything else but now my H looks like crap, about 10 paint jobs.

I got the solution. CF trunk and no stupid badges

Anyone know of a source for good quality wing emblem kits in hyper silver to match my R-Spec wheels? I can find gloss and matte black, gold, chrome, carbon, and some oddball colors, but no luck with hyper silver. Any guidance is appreciated.

I always found this subject interesting.

Youtube videos and comment sections say that the dealer offers them. When I got my car in 2013. I asked my dealer and the dude said that the service department could be asked to put it on for you if you brought it in. But they themselves cannot order a Genesis Coupe Badge from Hyundai because Hyundai does not sell them or offer them aside from the Sedan. .. But if I were to buy some, they could put them on for me if I made an appointment.

So i always find it interesting when ppl comment that the dealer service or parts department could order some. Unless my dealership did not have the right idea.

Back in 2014 when I bought my coupe new, I noticed that several of the new coupes on the lot had the wings on them already. I think the dealer was trying to help clear them out as they didn't appear to be a hot seller, (they had to dig my new black 3.8 Ultimate out of the back of the storage lot covered in dust and birdshit). The dealer can order them from Amazon or Ebay just like anyone else, some dealers/parts departments just dont care to deal with aftermarket parts and others actually want to please their customers and sell cars.
