So I went ahead and installed the LED DRL / Fog lights on my r-spec yesterday. I wired mine in so the LED DRL's are on whenever the car is running, and the fog lamps are on whenever the headlights are on. Here is a quick run down of where I wired them in:

First I tapped the factory harness in two places for the "signal" to activate the relays.

For the DRL's; on the passenger side of the car, there is a small fuse box. I opened that fuse box, and on the battery side of the IGN coil fuse (green 20a) I taped the red large red wire.

On the passenger side headlight (Do no use drivers side headlight), there is the pink primary wire (upper right hand corner if you are looking at the plug) I taped that for the signal wire for the fog lights.

I then mounted my relays under the small factory fuse box where you tap the ign. coil fuse wire.

I ran a primary power wire to the battery's positive terminal for the power for both relays. I used a 5a fuse for the DRL, and a 15a fuse for the fogs (You must use a fuse for each circuit.)

I grounded both relay's where under fuse box where the metal bracket that mounts the fuse box goes to the body.

Each fog light has 4 wires, one power for DRL's, one power for fogs, and one ground each. I made a small foot long harness for each fog light and put a 4 wire plug on them. This makes it simple to disconnect the DRL's/fogs when you remove the bumper. This small harness plugs into the fog lights with 4 small female blade contacts.

The body side wires all run to two 4 wire plugs to plug into the fog light harness.

I sleeved all the wires with braided wire loom sleeves, and used heat shrink at all the ends.

Here is a very crude diagram:

^^^ well, I haven't been able to hook up the fogs yet, so I'm still not sure. But I did the exact same setup on my headlights and it's working great. I really don't think I'll have a problem with it.

I have found all the OEM kits for the fogs/DRL for my 2013 RSPEC 2.0T on ebay. Today I called my Hyundai dealer to compare prices and see how much it would be for them to install. Their parts and service dept told me that their computer shows no such part(s) to order on the 2013. Obviously we know they are out there, so I'm wondering does anyone know if any Hyundai dealership is capable of selling the OEM fogs and led drl's?

^^^they are, but the last quote i got from the dealer was 302 EACH light. meaning $604 for the 2 ffront foglights with LED's. DONT GO DEALER!

Thanks for the info. I figured they were going to be way more expensive, just wanted to compare.

To tell u the truth the way gcp wrote the DIY would be much easier then to start running wires inside the car through the grommet

Check your local laws, typically red is a no no on the front.

Damn GCP, I want this SO fricken bad. But I have never done anything like this before. I can take apart a laptop into 1000 pieces and put it back together no problem, but i actually have no clue about wiring, or automotive wiring.

Anyone think I should be able to pay someone to do this ???

I live in the Niagara Region of Ontario ... Toronto, Buffalo both are close.

Hell, I would even drive a few hours to get this done, make it a weekend trip if I had to.

OEM LED Foglights, importshark.com
just ordered these LED DRL fog lights from Import shark with pre-wired connectors. Is a relay required? Mike says it is not required because the LEDS can turn on w/ direct power. But I want to make sure the LEDs and foglights are running safely for my car without any flickering.
I have a 2013 Genesis Coupe 2.0T base model.
Thank you!

I want to install a different bulb in my fogs but I am nervous because I have heard that you can't just simply pop out the bulb and replace it with LED's is this true? If so would I be better off getting HID's for my fogs?

Also while we are on the topic of bulbs, where in the owners manual can I find bulb sizes for the car? Thanks everyone in advance!

HID's I believe get too hot for the fog housing, and can cause it to melt. Someone can back me up on that?

As for the bulbs, usually in back of the manual.

Also, yes you can just install LED's in place of the regular bulbs. It is perfectly plug n play. But output isn't as great from what I can tell.
