everywhere. little suckers somehow set up a colony in my car. at first i saw a few and didn't think anything. but i kept seeing them so i started looking. all over the front of the car. i don't know where they live but i need to kill em fast. any suggestions? i have seen them in the cabin, on the fenders, and many on the front bumper and fogs. are they feasting on radiator bugs?

Don't wash your car for a few days and try to leave it in the sun. Ants can't live more than 24 hours without water...

That is strange though...

go to a drift day and smoke up the tires and then do some big donuts and burnouts... the smoke ought to kill em~

i mean i googled it and it's pretty common. i just don't want to use chemical or foggers. im thinking the only place i could have got them was in daytona last wknd. parked out in the grass for 14 hours.

and it's supposed to rain for the next 3 days so water deprivation isnt happening. plus they'll just use the dew on the car every morning...

That's wild. Maybe you can rent an Anteater....

Remove all garbage and food from your car. Ants are attracted to food, so clean out your car in case any sweet substances have spilled in it and attracted the invaders.

Coat your tires with ant spray. The ants are getting into the car at the most likely point of contact: your tires. Spray your tires with ant spray to cut off their point of entry.

Take ant bait and place it under the seats of your car. If you have ants, this is a thorough way to be rid of them. Not only will you kill the invading ants, but you will also kill off the colony.

Sprinkle black pepper on your floors. This is an easy, organic way to keep ants at bay. It will serve the same purpose as a barrier type of insect spray.

Sprinkle boric acid on your floors. Be extremely cautious if you take this step. Boric acid is not safe around pets or children, and can also be dangerous if you come in contact with it and ingest it. Boric acid should only be used as a last-ditch effort.

park it in the sun leave the hood open for like a day, dont park it where you used to from now on. they probably like the moisture but they cant hang around very long cause they have no food.

i Bought a used, it was like 7 years ago. The guy was selling his wife car, cause she died from cancer, i know its a sad story. Her Car, Honda Prelude 97, was in the parking lot for like 6 month without moving.

When i bring the car home, i realize they was always a few ants everywhere in the car. So one day when i was cleaning the car i realize they was a nest under my mud carpet (like a little mountain of sands), i vaccum all the nest plus all the other ants. After that it was over, no more ants.

When i told that story to my friends they still dont believe me. So i know how you feel man lol.

Weird, I never had them in my cars (except for a straggler), but they always invade the house if I leave food out or there is any cat food left over. If you can't find them, Terro seems to work pretty good. You put a drop or two down, they eat it, take it back to the nest and it supposedly kills them. They disappear for awhile, but always tend to come back. Hate the little buggers...
