Is anyone replacing their 3.8 exhaust and possibly wanting to "sell" the tips? I am getting an ISIS Street Exhaust for the 2.0T but want to do a custom weld because I love the way the OEM tips look (and for the "sleeper look" effect).
If anyone could help on giving a decent price for their tips, where I could get 3" tips, or how difficult boring my 2" tips on the 2.0T, that would be great!
I would say use your factory tips, cut the inlet off, bore out the hole, and weld on whatever bigger size pipe you want. That's going to be your cheapest and easiest application in my opinion.
I might just do that then. I want it done right because this is a good amount of money on the exhaust. Hopefully it will sound the same after cutting the tips off and putting the bored out 3" OEM tips on.
Where are you located? I have two sets. One from a 2010 3.8 Track model, on for about 6 months; another from my 2013 3.8 Track model, on for about 3 months. Both with lead in pipes cut at muffler connection.
If anyone wants to get 3" OEM tips for your exhaust, post on here! And if anyone is willing to sell your 3" OEM tips for a pretty decent price, that would be great to post as well.
