Hello,

I am completely new to the import world (if thats what you call it) coming from the LSx community.

Anyway I just traded in my 2007 Trailblazer SS AWD for a 3.8 M6 Coupe and it is fantastic!

The car was listed as a Track edition, but how can you tell if it is a Track or R-Spec? I bought it from a VW dealer, so they knew nothing.

I searched around but couldnt find anything specific on the differences.

The car has 19s, Brembos, Red leather seats with some sort of cloth insert in the middle and a spoiler.

Sorry in advance if this is a sticky or covered elsewhere!

Thanks!

What year is your coupe?

On 2013+ the Track model would have all leather, Navigation, and spoiler.

Sounds like with red seats with cloth, you have an R-Spec that someone added a spoiler to? Or Maybe a Track model with r-spec seats?

I think the Navi would tell you your answer.

It is a 2013, no nav.

As for the spoiler I did notice the dealer pictures did not show one on the car and then I was surprised to see one when I showed up so I am not sure if the dealer added it or not.

Canadian or US model? R-Spec in Canada has a spoiler. Least the 2015 does, not sure about the 13 or 14.

2013-2015 R-specs in Canada were the ONLY models to come with a factory installed spoiler..............
All other OEM spoilers were dealer installed and have a shorter red LED panel in the center and the LED in the rear window as they didn't come originally with a spoiler.

As for US models.........Who knows.

Thanks for all the comments guys!

Before I posted I was pretty sure it was a R-Spec from what I had found and from what you guys are saying it looks like it is confirmed :) The lack of sunroof was what got me asking in the first place and I am 99% sure the dealer installed the spoiler.

Also found that theres a Injen Intake on it already :)

Yeah, they will install a spoiler on an R-spec but they damn sure won't install the R-spec seats on a track.

That's fine. Most people just figure this stuff out before showing up to a dealership asking to buy a car, let alone when showing up to a Volkswagen dealership out of the blue to buy an unknown Hyundai.

I hope they didn't repo your kidneys as part of the purchase agreement.

It wasn't exactly out of the blue. I knew enough about the car to know that it was what I was looking for...manual trans, leather seats, 19s and a 3.8. When I ran the CarFax and the dealer did (separately) the car came back generically and had all of the trims listed. I am not new to the car scene and I had done a decent bit of research prior to getting this car although I almost bought a FRS.

Even asking on this forum it does not seem many really knew the differences because they do not appear to be very cleanly outlined anywhere, even more blurry which years had what.

I knew it was a R-Spec or Track, but I would like to thank you for the warm welcome and for being a douche on the matter :)

Not exactly sure how being rational constitutes being a douche. I'm glad you were able to find a car with the features that you wanted. Welcome to the club.
