Hey Weekend Warrior,
I don't know what to tell you, but she just purred along.. that is the best it has done... now maybe the Magna Flow exhaust helped... This was the first trip after having that put on.

That Impressive Fr3nchy534

Hi Fr3nchy534
I like the color of your car:smile: have you put a differant exhuast system on it?

I've got a cold air intake on my list of 'things to do' so perhaps I can kick it up a notch..

Your car came from the factory with a "Cold air intake". Trace the breathing system for yourself.

However, for looks, an aftermarket CAI is really nice, but not necessarily an improvement in performance.

My city MPG really kills my highway MPG. Averaged 21.5 on last fillup, which isn't too bad I suppose.

Yeah, without looking at the EPA ratings, my avg of 20mpg sounds disappointing. Then I put into perspective that it's a 3.8L and it falls right in the middle of the 16city/25hwy rating so I'm OK with it. I'll be super happy if I begin to avg. 22-23 mixed. My last several fillups have been around 20-22mpg though so I'm slowly getting there as I rack up more miles. Just hit 8000mi over the weekend.

Average 12-13 in the city. 27-30 Highway

You could do a lot better than 12-13 (city).

Is your car brand new? If so, the fuel economy will improve over time.

Do you have a heavy right foot? Could be that your driving style is just aggressive and track-like.

Of course, the mods may be to blame too. Although I'm not really sure if they cause worse fuel economy.

I put gas in when it needs it. Its a 350hp RWD coupe. I drive like a maniac and yet have never got into an accident, nor a ticket. 3.8 drinks it all down...lol. On a serious note I get 21 with a heavy dose of city and minor highway. Thats what the thing reads anyway. when I was doing laps at Sebring in my 370 I was out of gas in less than an hour!! too fun.

After the first 560 kilometers I'm sitting at 13L/100km. Or to translate into something intelligible; after the first 348 miles on the car I'm averaging just over 18 mpg (us). Considering it's well below freezing and the car is brand new, I'll take that.

EDIT:
40% stop and go rush hour traffic
40% city
20% highway

This GC, just cruises on the highway

Hey Mattcnz

This GC, just cruises on the highway. I run with the cruise control on most of the time, so it is a steady speed... Now, that being said, when I get on it... GPM goes out the door!! But that is a lot more fun!!!!

I average around 18-20 driving back and forth to work. get about 320 miles per take. about 2 years ago I went on a 14 hour trip and averaged 28.5 with the cruise set at 75. I want to say I had 1/8 a tank at the 420 mile mark with the gauge showing 50 miles left till empty. I have R2C & Magnaflow CBE.
