Congrats on the new ride and more so for joining the forums!

You're questions is a little generic so it's unlikely you'll get a lot of responses. There's a TON of parts available and a lot of great people here to contribute to your ideas or concepts so don't be afraid to share with us all!

I heard the search function adds about 50 horsepower.
Even more if you start looking at the turbo kit upgrades.

I'm curious, do you genuinely feel like you got more power from your intake? I am very skeptical of intakes as a first mod. I dont believe it offers very much if any power unless the turbo is upgraded.

Unless you're just going for sound, then yea, it's certainly good for that.

Honestly, I don't have my genesis yet, but I have been around quite a few since they have come out and have been reading up on it. The stock intake is nice. I wouldnt suggest changing it until it becomes a bottleneck, which wint happen with the stock turbo. Unless you just want the sound. In thaf case, just go with what sounds best to you.

Go for a gain/price ratio as you're starting out, and be prepared to put things back in their place if you're under warranty and hope for help in times of need (read: bolt-ons). Specifically..

Exhaust (Don't do axle-back, go all the way. Cat-back)
Headers? Nah. Really not worth the $ for the minimal gain.
**** the catalytics. If you're in a state (and mindset) where that doesnt matter, clear those suckers out.
Intake (You got it)
Port the throttle body and manifold? Maybe. That's a close (expensive) gain/price ratio.
Stay away from underweight pulley's. Snoopy has a thread response around here explaining the dangers.
TUNE. (Time better be on your side, and you might as well do it while you're getting that manifold ported).

If you're flying a manual, there's a few more things we can help you with.

This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
