Question about my boost, is there a problem?

So when i start my car after its been sitting for awhile my turbo does not generate boost for about 10 minutes then it suddenly kicks in and works perfectly.
Ive head 3 different opinions saying: On a cold start in car it takes time for the turbo to warmup and before it begins working.. Ive noticed in the cold weather it takes longer for the turbo to start working. 10-15 mins after starting car.

2: ive heard I have a boost leak.. to me this doesnt make sense because after 10 mins or so once my turbo begins producing proper boost it feels strong and generates the correct amount of boost (atleast it feels like it)

3: My turbo is giving me warning signs its about to break..

Does anyone else have this issue happen? Or does your guys genesis as soon as it starts the turbo begins spooling and producing maximum boost with no issues?

I bought the car about 2 weeks ago its a 2013 Genesis coupe 2.0T base model. thanks

The turbo doesn't need to "warm up"... your engine oil needs to warm up.

Your turbo can spin up to 200,000 rpm at full boost. Without oil flowing through the journal bearings, you could end up destroying your turbo.

Cold oil doesn't flow well.

The ECU keeps the wastegate on your turbo open and limits the boost to just 6 PSI until the oil warms up and can properly lubricate the turbo.

Bypass this safeguard at your own peril.
