It's finally here.... For all my fellow gen coupe drivers who have the 2014+ Models with the annoying non threaded shifters, a new adapter finally released.
I bought the adapter and the shiftknob on
Raceseng.com
This adapter only works with raceseng shift knobs! The threads on the adapter are 3/4"-16
Review:
1.) Prior to tighting the screws on the adapter to the shifter arm, the adapter had a snug fit with no type of wiggling.
2.) After tightening the screws on the adapter to the shifter arm, the adapter stayed tight and did not move around when you forcefully tried doing so.
3.) The OEM shift boot did not need a zip tie to securely stay under the shift knob. You can use a zip tie to be secure but I don't think it's necessary.
4.) After installing the shift knob onto the adapter there did not seem to have any other functional issues. No rattling whatsoever.
5.) Personal rating 10/10
*note* The screws on the adapter can be easily striped when tightening, so be sure to use the correct tools and be careful not to overtighten. Also be sure to use some blue locktight.
I will update if anything changes.
