I figured I would just post this up since people seem to need photochops lol
Post up:
What exactly you want.
Pictures of the things you wanted added on.
Pictures of your car.
Try to get pictures with similar prospective and color. Prospective is more important than color.
The higher resolution and quality of the pic, the better the photoshop will come out.
when i saw this in the FIA GT1 - Abu Dhabi race like 2 weeks ago i was totally hooked up! can anybody apply the the base of the livering (red and grey)? nevermind the aero-kit/widebody..well of course..
here is mine (choose any)
OT: this JRM GT-R's are by far the hottest speed machine i've ever seen; sounds insane too! gotta love those V8 GT-R's!

ty......it gives me a close enough idea. thats perfect. if there wasn't a flaw id make it my desktop pic for sure. but im sure thats not the easiest thing to put wheels on a car with the correct angle so mad props.
Oh, one thing. Are you sure you don't want this done on a better picture of your car? Because right now, your rear wheel looks way smaller than your front wheel.
Just like Rizor said there are three million rim styles.......here's another!! I hope that you can strip the tires and Rims off of the 350 and put them on the GC, if not let me know and I will retake the photo of the car at a different angle.....

sorry the back caliper looks like ass. I had to do a lot of retouching and it just kept getting worse the more I did. Should have found stock brembo images instead of using yours, but I know you track guys are right funny about your red brakes.
So rizor, when you do color correction you're just doing a paint overlay and selecting the RGB color off the palette that looks close to match? And I'm guessing for wheels using the perspective/distort tool to change the angles to get a good match? And just lassoing or erasing the backgrounds by hand? Cuz that's basically what I do, and it's a time consuming pain in the ass. I had read about some other techniques for selective coloring but they were a little beyond me and required lots of masking and playing with the color sliders to literally get the whole color to change selectively without losing the highlight, midtone, and shadow characteristics. Any thoughts? And how are you doing your shading? Are you just using various opacities of black? Do you use any particular overlay? Luminosity, overlay, etc? Cuz your stuff looks really good man. I can't believe you're going in and trimming pixels by hand around edges. Feathering? soft brushes? whats your secret and what do you do? Take heroin before you chop to keep your hand that steady and relaxed?
Okay okay. Most good Photoshopping techniques are simple and effective one you get the hang of'em. Like I told another member, my methods are no secret, so I'll gladly shed some light where I can.
No. I use the Polygonal Lasso Tool to select out the area I want to change. Then I'll go to Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation and adjust the Hue, Saturation, & Lightness to generate the desired color and light intensity. Some images may require you to first select the Colorize option before this can be achieved.

For wheels it's best to just select out only the rim and create a new layer from that selection so that there's no erasing necessary[Ctrl+J or Layer>New>Layer via Copy]

For the rendering of the Track rims with the Glossy red finish, in order to maintain some of the highlights present on the rim, I had to adjust the settings under Shadows/Highlights, which is within Image>Adjustments. This can get a bit more complicated, so it's best to just play with these settings for yourself and observe how each adjustment manipulates the image.

Layer settings are made on a case by case basis. So some rendering may require a Multiply or Luminosity setting, whereas others you can just leave as Normal. Most of the stuff I've done in this thread has been left on the Normal Layer setting, just because it has not been required in the process of successfully executing most of the requests here.
I did it for selfish reasons...I'm thinking about getting the hyper black 2.2.2.s as it's a whopping $400 cheaper than a full polish or gold powdercoat. Plus lip polishing if I go with gold.
well navith at varrstoen told me that the 222s come in full polish from the factory on the +12 offset. How good are you at rolling fenders? I dunno, I'm having the same problem. For a set of performance tires plus wheels for a full polish or powdercoat you're looking roughly 2.5k that's pretty damned steep. I don't like the xxr 552s, they don't have a lip and the spokes are too concave, I was considering the xxx692?s the 5 spoke gold, but the whole universal hub makes it look too junky IMO. There's wayyyyy more options in 18 and tires are cheaper I really like the look of 19s on the car though. But TiC says the smaller the wheel the better for our suspension set up if you really want performance, and that we should be stock height or a little higher honestly due to the geometry, I've got sportlines, and I know they kill my handling, but I'm also not autocrossing, so I guess wheels are more for looks for me but I don't want anything heavier than stock as I do like to go fast in a straight line either way you cut it it's a lot of guap and 1k might be cheap for wheels but it's a big purchase initially because of tires. I don't know how quick summer compounds wear, but I've got 30k on my stock all season 18s and plenty of tread left, I may end up running my 18s in winter and 19s in summer with different compound as I'm not adverse to having an alignment performed every 6 months cuz roads here are rough.
