Mr. David Stout went all out for the unveiling of his newest iteration of his Genesis coupe. At his charity car show this past Saturday, his car was revealed to the public. Thoughts?
That looks amazing. If the front bumper came like that to begin with (or didn't take alot of work to transform to look like that) I would have seriously considered a 2013+
I'm not sold on the rolled fenders as the wheels are so sunken in they look non-existent.
Is that a popular look that people want to achieve or a part of owner's creative touch?
I think it looks terrible and maybe it's the pic but looks like a Maaco quality paint job especially over the fenders. But hey not my car more power to him
This car definitely isn't for everyone, and I wasn't a fan when I first saw the pictures. It really shines in person and pictures don't do it justice. The paint is actually a wrap.
This is a custom one off wide body kit made by Annihilator Customs I believe. I wish there was a more low key widebody option for the Gen. Like what JP Performance did for SEMA.
First off, I absolutely admire those who put that type of time, effort n creativity into a car like this one. The fitment of every body panel is so tight it looks like it came from the factory that way! I like wide fenders to create that perched-cat-look and I'm crazy for wide, deep-dish rims (always have been). These rims are wide as a Mack truck and I like the look, I would just prefer a different color for them and some custom paint. Nice job David!
gonna bring this back for an update. In case you haven't heard, it was sold recently and this happened to the new owner. Lots of speculation on what really happened.
We were JUST talking about this in our local GC FB page. I wanna know wth happened!!!!!!! Happened coming back from Import Alliance. One member said he passed it coming home burning on the side of the road
The owner says 1 corner of the air suspension blew and locked a wheel. Some believe him and some don't. Join the group and discussion here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/10808857959/
Lot of speculation, but he was proven to be a liar as he claimed he built the car himself, then later changed his story. He ended up in a ditch and the weeds caught fire and that's how the car caught fire.
again, lot of speculation and the driver isn't saying much, but it seems other people from the event said he was trying to drift and the car is bagged, so in doing so, a bag blew out and he lost control. The heat from the engine/exhaust caught the grass/weeds on fire in turn set the car on fire.
