I hear ya on the clutch, it's hard to really drive smoothly at first without riding/feathering it and feeling like you're roasting it prematurely. I can drive mine much better if I've got the music down and can listen to the car.
I've heard part of the issue is the throttle is completely drive by wire, not an actual throttle cable (which I knew), but that the pedal to throttle body ratio isn't 1:1, so how far down you press the pedal for a certain RPM can differ. That's definitely the way it feels to me, compared to other manuals I've owned. I've also heard that a cold air intake helps as well. If one of the more senior members here could point us in the right direction, that would be much appreciated!
Just to be completely clear though, it's (to me) not a clutch issue. On the contrary, the clutch seems to be great! Tight yes, a small window from barely picking up and fully engaged, yes as well, but remember, this isn't a 1992 Ford Escort manual. It entirely feels like the unpredictability of the throttle, hence why I drive mine so much smoother listening to the engine, and more jerky with the music on blast.
