So, i might be moving to oregon for work. not exactly thrilled about having to leave arizona. How is everything there, as far as cost of living and anything/everything else you can think of? and the weather. i hate snow
It really depends on what part of Arizona you come from, and what part of Oregon you are moving to. Oregon has every type of climate and terrain you can imagine. That being said, I have lived in both Arizona and Oregon (currently), and generally you can expect overall cost of living to be lower in Oregon, and super heavy snows and cold winters are only common in certain parts of the state.
If you are moving to portland area, expect race season to start late and end early... Rain for about 6-8 months long and windy days. other then that our summers are never really above 80*
You better love rain if your coming here. However, the summers in the portland/beaverton area are just fantastic. Never reach the 100's and is slightly windy. Its a spectacular summer, and I should mention that the greenery is amazing! I love where I live (Beaverton) and dont plan on moving anywhere anytime soon. Cost of living should be lower here then in Arizona, but I don't know which part your coming from and moving too. If you enjoy hiking, camping, surfing, night life, and even might miss the desert at time, Oregon has so much to offer man. God I love this place.
Roseburg, down to Canyonville, have some of the best weather, rarely, if ever snow, rarely, if ever hot at nite. 100 mi from the Ca. border....less than a 100 mile to the coast, 200 to PDX.
Just a great place and no traffic jams.
LoL get used to people filling your car up because that's apparently the law in that state.
