Reliability. Its a touring/show car...although 550-615whp would be nice....I just don't know if I want to deal with the headaches...did you guys ever do anything to your trans? WPC treat the gears and such?
Oh alright well that's a very good reason.. we are also trying to make the Genesis Coupe as reliable as possible.
As of right now the plan is to get a new trans put in. We used the OEM trans last season without any issues, but this season we will be making more power/tq
Oh nice that's pretty cool, you have to get some good pictures of the Genesis Coupe lol. Be sure to stop by our pit area! I'll be at a few of the races, but we will have guys from ARK at every event.
Yeah this season will definitely be much better than last, and if you get the chance you should see the car. Atlanta is always a great course too.
He will be able to help you with any power steering related questions/issues that you have. So far we haven't had any issues with the PS since having him help us.
Oh I've already taken my car to Mr. Lee. He did a pump retrofit with a larger GM based Saginaw pump along with his larger reservoir with cooling fins, large cooler, and filter.
He got all the R&D done on my car and has a jig set up and ready for the next person in need. This set up will give you the steering feel, reliability, and confidence you need so you don't have to worry about when the stock pump will fail.
Oh I see, well that's good to hear! I'm glad he was able to help you out, and this will help any future Genesis Coupe that needs to upgrade their PS system. Which we highly recommend if you are drifting.
Thanks!! There's a lot of things we have learned from last year, and we are super excited to see the new changes and how it will effect our season, FD program, and team =)
One of the changes we made will be our engine management system. Last season we started the season with a stock ecu and tune from BTRcc, then we switched to a stand alone setup with the AEM EMS Series 2.
