Crap I'm like a month behind on this thread... lol.
I'm around Shreveport. Bought my Nordschleife Gray 3.8 Track w/ ZF auto on March 20th. Got almost 3k miles on it so far, and my only complaint is the bluetooth issue, but I will probably do the update tomorrow at work. I work in the parts dept. of the Hyundai dealer in Shreveport.
I had been wondering how many other Coupe owners there are in Louisiana. It's nice to know there are a couple others, but I like the idea of not having any competition here right now... lol.
Thanks for starting this thread LSUTIGER. I am from the Baton Rouge area. I had been browsing the site since Febuary and finally joined in April after I test drove a 3.8 GT.
welcome to the forum/board. I am just under 4000 miles on mine and loving every minute of it although i am having 1 issue... sadly it was a production issue a/c related. You considering getting a GC?
Thanks..I spotted Grey Coupe not long ago on I-110 in downtown...must have been you!
Yes, strongly considering the GC, the car drove very nicely and is in the price range that I am looking to spend. However, I am worried about these little issues that keep coming up. I have read about GC's not starting, clunking noises in the auto transmissions, and A/C problems. I have never had any problems like that with my 9 year old Nissan truck, nor my wifes 6 year old Honda.
Does All Star Hyundai do a good job of service after the sale? Are they resolving the issue you are having with the A/C? (having A/C is really important this time of year in LA...LOL!)
Good to know you are loving every minute of it despite the AC issue!
they are aware of the issue however it is a fix which will take a little while to do... the flap in the dash that directs airflow is partially stuck. So the air works fine... I just cant seem to get 1 more working and on one for the other modes it clicks at times because it is trying to move the flap. now that i am back from my honeymoon, i plan on bringing them the car very soon. Service has been mostly positive.
Never had any starting issues, or clunking noises, just make sure you drive the actual vehicle you will purchase. Don't sign for it until you have driven it.
Oh if you go there ask for Ron... He is a very nice and patient guy. He won't try any sales tricks.
Bought mine from All Star Hyundai in Baton Rouge, LA. Great dealership - straight forward and not much BS. Recommend them wholeheartedly. I live in Houston, TX, however.
I work at Bill Hood Import Corner in Hammond and just wanted to let anyone in the market for a coupe we are selling them at invoice and have great selection. No b.s. very easy to deal with hassle free been in business since 1928.
Aloha from Houma, LA gang... saw a NG GC today on 311 on my way from BP to my hotel. Just thought I'd post up the "sighting" and say hey! to all the owners in Louisiana.
Nice to see a Louisiana thread in this forum. I dont currently own a Genesis but I am interested in finding out more about this nice looking car and hope to see some on the rollers soon.
For the guys that are in the are we are having a dyno day in June.
So far i'v spotted a 2 red tracks, white base 3.8, white base 2.0 with graphics, somebody had a black one but apparently they totaled it recently, and a gray 3.8 downtown.
Hello y'all,
Monroe here. I have a whopping 225 miles so far. Just picked up my Tsukuba Red 3.8 from Mike Morgan Hyundai in Shreveport this past weekend.
