The silencer delete alone will do nothing to the sound of your car, unless you have super-human hearing. You have to do the silencer delete AND replace the stock airbox with a high-flow filter. Then it will be like night and day. I'm not sure about the drop-in filters, because I don't have experience with them. I'm assuming you will gain some sound there. But I'm also assuming you'll gain more sound with a conical filter, since there will be even more air going into the turbo. I have the conical filter, and it is very loud. Trust me, everyone around you will know you have a turbo under the hood.
IMO, the single best thing you can do for the 2.0T is get a high-flow air filter (and intake tube if you can afford it). It is a completely different driving experience. You will gain that sound we all want plus 5-10 HP, even with just a conical filter and intake tube that's sucking in hot air from the engine bay. You'll gain 10-15 HP if you have a heat shield or air box like the one made by cp-e that gets you some cooler air.
