It might help but not enough to justify the cost. If you really want a heat sheild you can fab one up your self very cheaply. I think that the money could be better spent elsewhere or saved for a more expensive mod that will do something more than sound cool. ic,cat delete,flash,ect...
With that said I will say that it does give a lot better sound. Also these are just my opinions based on a lot of research and trial and error.
Has anyone tested the limits of the stock airbox on these cars yet? I know that the stocker on the sti is not a limiting factor until ~400whp or ~500chp.
