Highest WHP stock block 2.0T?

Anyone know who currently holds the highest whp for a stock block 2.0T? I think i remember seeing that someone was at 430whp on the stock bottom end.

well i know that all dynes read differently but that can be accounted for. Also doesn't have to one single person, its not like its some kind of contest although a little competition is healthy for our 2.0T community.

So then he shouldn't be in this thread? I thought this thread was for STOCK motors.. not built? Maybe I was mistaken....

yea the purpose of this thread is to discuss high WHP STOCK block builds. Although 500whp is a little farfetched as of now. I do believe as we learn more about this platform and where the motor is happy tuning wise, i don't doubt that we will see a few guys break 500whp on the stock block in the near future.

Yep, pretty sure SJ has the highest so far but there are more than a few in the 350-400whp on the stock block too.

What is required for a new FS thread?
  • Detailed title of item
  • Detailed description of item (specify if its new, used, etc.)
  • Contact information (Phone number OR email preferred - not just Private Messaging)
  • Asking price
  • Location (State if local pickup or if you will ship)
  • Actual Photos of the item
Any of these missing means your thread will not be approved.

Yep, for a long while. First tuned with the CMD only then turboxs tuned. Personally I'd say 400whp is the limit of the stock block but some people with bigger cojones than I push it further

GC Kid was also making 350whp on his auto, which should be closer to 375/400whp on a manual.

More than a few evo 8/9/x kits in the 350 range as well. The 20T is a stout little motor for how much people like to bash it. Just have to make sure you're properly tuned and 350-400 should be DD friendly no problem. There will always be some random failures though, especially with Hyundai's apparently lack of quality control.

Nope, we're talking stock blocks. No internals changed. Clutch is needed on the 10-12 as soon as you get past stock power levels, tbh... Clutch isn't considered part of the block or engine though...

That I am aware of but Iam looking into doing around mid 300's and so i just wanted to make sure that's one thing for sure that has to be swapped out even though it is not engine related but those are pretty impressive#'s idk why but i keep reading that internals should be reinforced once you hit around 340 on other threads, But good to see it is not a necessity
