Always pull in a clockwise direction. 21 years of working on helicopters with every bolt safetied and sometimes I get it backwards too.

Also, take the pigtail and loop it in on itself rather than trying to squish it inline with the wire. Stray safety wire ends tend to cut hands really bad.

RIGHT ON! Thanks man, I appreciate it. I need to find some better wire. I'm using galvanized steel at the moment. Doesn't seem to bed in a good shape really, it's like it's almost impossible to pull tight.

So I had some free time today after work, so I decided to mounnt my WB and get it all wired up. I didn't connect the sensor since the stock o2 is still connected, however the wiring is all ran and connected.

I used a 2" hole saw to cut into the dashboard. TAKE YOUR TIME.

I decided to feed the sensor wires from the engine bay through the firewall. There is a tiny small opening between the firewall and the heater motor inside the the car on the passenger side. I pulled the wire down and ran it behind the dashboard.

Also, finally got the safety wire tying the right way lol.

Sorry for such SLOW progress guys. Just trying to take my time; also I'm having my front end painted in a week and don't want to leave my ride at the shop with an upgraded turbo.

Stupid question but if the actuator is set at 12.8, if you have a canned tune that is running 20 pounds of boost then are we going to need to use the boost controller to then adjust that until a custom tune takes place?

Like I said sorry for the dumb question I'm the kind of person who didn't buy my gauges just because I haven't decided what route to take but I'm leaning towards this turbo as well as a meth kit, etc. (So I want to make sure I buy the gauges I need)

You can still run the turbo at 12.8 psi it just won't be as responsive or make as much power. Yes you need a boost control. A manual or electronic work

Okay, so having a canned tune by sfr running at 20psi on stock turbo won't mess up when running the bolt on Tomei that is set to run at 12.8 psi? Know What i mean lol? Sounds like I'll need to adjust to the boost that ecu is reading once I bolt it on. But that didn't sound right to me. Little confused so learning about these cars. And alright will do.

It will not work. You need a tune for the Tomei turbo. You can't buy their bolt on tune and the expect it to work once you get the new Tomei turbo, not gonna happen. You also need larger injectors which won't be accommodated for with the SFR tune since it's only a bolt on tune. Also, save your $ and go with the BTR tune.

A tune is generally made for specific mods (with canned tunes offering some room for small variances). If you currently don't have a Tomei turbo and have a tune that works well for your car then it will not work with a drastically different set of mods (like an upgraded turbo or injectors).

OK makes sense, I was just making sure on that part but yes I have a set of 750cc injectors already. I was planning to do a custome tune. Was going to go with btr but sfr had came here before btr so yeah. Couldn't wait Idk why lol.

Careful... don't confuse pressure with flow volume. Larger turbos have much more flow volume than the little stock one does. Although you can hit 20 PSI on the stock turbo, you can't hold it... bigger turbos can and do. The SFR tune accounts for the tapering effect on the stock turbo but does not account for the volume of air being pushed by a much bigger turbo.

In any case, the 12.8 psi wastegate setting is the failsafe in the event that your boost controller goes wonky and fails closed. In other words, you would not be able to manually set your boost lower than 12.8 psi, but with a manual or electronic boost controller you can raise it.

Will do! Hopefully it won't be too much longer. I'm also curious to see what itslikeanegg's numbers will be also.

@DaGr8Won,
I got the turbo, Tune, injectors, and MBC for $2,100. But you also need full bolt ons (FMIC, intake, CBE, o2 housing).
