I am in Canada and the immobilizer systems are different then down in the States.. Also read that those that have the premium models (fobs/push start need only put in the fob and wait thirty seconds and voila data is copied over to the new ECU. Not sure if that works in Canada. We're special. Specially f'd over.

2010 2.0T, Tomei 7960 with BTR canned tune, Deatsch 750 injectors, Synapse exhaust manifold, Kamak intercooler, Synapse BOV, CPE turbo back exhaust with HFC, CPE intake. CC stage 2 clutch, AEM Failsafe gauge, GFB MBC.

Open downpipe...WHY?? Is your car a daily?

Good question about the Tomei cams though. I wonder if a custom tune would be needed on this setup with cams or if the BTR tune would be fine and compensate?

You'll need another tune. I would be very surprised if the canned tune was able to adjust.

Everyone asks that. But honestly I like loud cars. Doesn't sound to bad. Can't give an exact reason but you just have to drive it and try it to know what I mean.

I'm pretty sure a custom tune will be needed. I'm going to have sfr do my tune though.

I currently run a sfr 1.5 canned tune

I figured as much. Phase two of this setup for me would be Haltech and cams then haha. 400whp easily at that point

I have an open dump pipe... you'll never hear it when I am driving it around town. The wastegate opens and dumps at 21 PSI... so unless I am hammering the throttle, I never hit peak boost to open the wastegate and you never hear the dump.

On the other hand... when I am hammering the throttle, an open dump is the quickest and most efficient way to get rid of the excess exhaust without backing up my exhaust pipe. The dump pipe is the way I avoid having to get a 3" exhaust to do the same job.

I would LOVE to ride in your car to hear this! Always wanted to hear a wastegate open pipe at full throttle.

Can't be any worse than the electric cutout that dumps right under my seat (no cats either). That said, I could not drive with it open 24/7 although I do have it open several days a week and on cruises.

I've had my QTP for a few months and have no complaints. I picked the QTP because I found that the motors die prematurely on cheaper cutouts based on my research. I have a love/hate relationship with it because the exhaust sounds downright glorious when its open (burble, pop, crackle, etc) but I can't imagine going for a several hour ride with it on due to overall volume. I'm actually debating on reinstalling my primary cat or getting an HFC down the line because it will drastically reduce the overall volume while still being damn loud and audible with the cutout open.

I would love to go in the other direction. I want KITT the car stealth mode from Knight Rider. Performance with elegance. And a talking car of course. Female Siri version would be better.

A car doesn't have to be loud to be fast, that's why I got the ARK, I love the sound of it.

I have a CPE turbo back exhaust with HFC and a resonator and its still to loud. Each to his own. And I guess its going to get louder with the tomei turbo and synapse manifold.

I agree with everyone. It might not be an everyday thing. But truthfully I just love the sound. Sounds mean. And I kind of use it for a daily driver but not all the time. 25 minute drive to work and back. Tonight I took it out to a decent steak house in hondo Texas. Country highways. Open it up a bit. Born and raised around very loud cars.

That being said. Be pretty cool to see what sfr can do with the tomei!! I'm hoping to get in the 300s both in torque and hp.

I will be very very very sad if I don't hit 320whp with my setup lol. This is the reason why I went with this kit instead of the 16G.
