Default Stock Exhaust Manifold Replacement SIGN UP NOW!

We are going to be fabricating a stock replacement manifold for the stock 2.0T turbo. It will be a tubular manifold with 304 stainless runners.
The turbo will not be moved, therefor stock downpipe and I/C piping can be used along with any aftermarket exhaust or I/C piping built for stock placement.
This is just a FEELER thread to see who would be interested.

Pricing would be in the ballpark of $699.00

Options: Stainless Steel Flanges

Id like to make a list of who would be interested in the manifold so we could keep you updated as much as possible,
and possible a cheaper rate. (group buy)

Awesome, ill get you on the list. It shouldnt mess with the tune much, but would recommend a tune with every mod to get full potential and reliability.

It will be a tubular manifold, that will replace the OEM cast exhaust manifold.
The main purpose of this is to let the exhaust gases to flow more efficient, and less restrictive.
Once we get the manifold fabricated and tested we will post more info.

I'm down for one, as long as there is verifiable gains and posted dyno sheets.

Thanks for the interest, we will have dyno charts up when it is finished.

We are just trying to find out if there is any interest in a stock turbo replacement manifold since there are many bolt on turbo replacements that are out or coming out. This manifold may not show produce big gains for stock turbo at stock psi, but with a direct bolt on upgraded turbo at higher psi it should produce some promising numbers!

We are just simply trying to get some feedback so we have an idea how we can price it. It may have a similar design to our Evo 8/9 manifold.

I hope you'll have dynos comparing both stock turbo untuned, tuned, and possibly an upgraded turbo (16g, 18g, etc). Looking forward to seeing more info!

I personally think that the stock manifold isn't that bad, if it's slightly ported and polished.

Me personally, i wouldn't give up a cast manifold for a tubular welded manifold thats
prone to cracking just to upgrade to a ATP/similar bolt on turbo and expect a big
difference, the real gains are to be had by going into a better flowing/bigger turbine inlet
like a V-Band setup similar to what PTuning, CPE and others have/are doing..

In case anyone is interested in my experience, I am probably one of the only ones on here with a tubular manifold with the stock turbo. Unfortunately, I was unable to do a before and after dyno but I can say that you will lose quite a bit of low-end torque. On the positive, I think I probably gained a bit of top-end (the car doesn't fall on its face as bad). The manifold smoothed the power band out quite nicely. The car drives much smoother at WOT, which helps keep the rear end inline when cornering hard.

Plus, the car will sound a bit cooler and of course it looks bad ass!

Our goal is to design the manifold so we don't lose ANY low end power, we car actually going to try and gain some torque down low with a faster spool time.

I'm by no means an expert but the runners are going to be so much longer than stock no matter what, how can you not lose low-end power?
