The 6258 has a T25 flange and will require an adapter to work on T3.

For your viewing enjoyment! This is a VERY nice piece!

Yep, I just wondering of the clearing space. But I will wait until you put the setup together...:-)

If its anything like the oem manifold the space between the turbo and tranny is minimal.

Yea, I would have to highly recommend this, especially since it is cast.

The thing with a tubular SS mani is that this (ceramic coating) can trap heat in too well and cause weak joints and cracking and it is too diffcult and costly to clean it up before trying to reweld it, and then recoat it or then you have uneven coats and temps and rinse and repeat... As if you ever get anything ceramic coated, you are much better off doing it new from the factory

But with a cast, I would highly recommend it, as cast is so much stronger and heat and cracking isn't really an issue and it will hold in heat very well which as we know keeps up gas velocity which is better spool and slightly more tq realized (or less tq lost), AND less engine heat soak as an uncoated EM contributes to quite a bit of engine bay heat which generally results in higher IATs.

but thats only like a $40 adaptor isn't it? and it bolt right on... how the cost it seems worth it. would the 6258 require other mods, for instance change to the o2 housing or anything? and would the stock pipe line up with the few inch's from the adapter?

The adaptor will change the location of the turbo, by at least 1/2" to 1" lower than stock (in addition to any location differences in the BR T3 manifold positioning). The turbine housing discharge to o2 housing flange will be different, and will require fabrication.

The EFR 6258 turbo is quite expensive, at about $1900 list ($1500 street price..). Add the BR manifold, downpipe fabrication, and any intake fabrication that may be required..

It's not that expensive when you save more $500 on BOV and Wastegate and you have a piece of art spooling faaaasssttt...

ya... but how much would the o2 housing cost? i mean as for t3 the 7064 for bigger 275-450 and the efr 6255 comes as a 0.83 A/R T3 Housing(Internal WG) and sill still good up to 200-350hp. Wouldn't that line up 100% with the manifold and piping? i mean you might need a little work i don't think anything epic. also has internal wastegate, and there IWG's are bad ass. And that would still give you crazy spooling without needing to be twin scroll.

This has probably been asked already but is there any chance of a divided cast manifold? SPA has done them for at least VW's that I know of.

Garrett GT turbos are great but there is no (no joke or bashing) better turbo manufacturer then borg warner. but as mentioned $$$$$$. the only thing is borg warner works in T25 falnges (single non-divided) garrett sells on the other hand T3 (easier and more common for our car.)

ok your right my bad especially when you look at it as a complete total picture and how borg warner only spend ton's of money to make things like VTG turbos for gas car ad selling for +$5k then selling it to porsche for more $. but Garrett probably makes the best OVER ALL turbo (including price). But borg warner does make very.... unique turbos

You can get any flange you want for a garrett turbo including t25.
Look at the orientation of the efr Turbo's, ie. location of wastegate actuator, even the small series efr,s you would probably have to have a custom manifold made because of clearance issues with the block (never measured just a guess). It is ideal for top mount though.
