@Sheijo
Mishimoto's cans are not baffled.
I don't know if you could pop the breather off the AGP and connect a host, most likely could with some hose reducers though.
PM some pics if you'd like help with placement.. that and I'd like to see your engine

This would cannot happen if they were plumbed directly inline individually and kept empty enough so freezing will not block them off.

That's what I was thinking which is why I left it off the car. Try routing all the lines back to stock, put a bit of oil back in and staring it. The seal might not actually be gone, just excess crankcase pressure pushing oil out the seal.

How's your catch can connected?
Are you using single/common catch can on CCV side and PCV side?

It's the JUN.
I emptied it literally on Wednesday.

I have 3 lines

1) from PCV
2) from intake + check valve
3) from valve case
4) nub from valve case to intake is blocked off

The first time this happened it happened when it was around 2 degrees Celsius and dropped to -16, this time it was hovering all week around 2-6 degrees, woke up this morning and it was -13 and it popped.

You need to keep the two lines separate. Use two cans, get rid of the check valves and make sure it does not fill and freeze. The intake one is the worst as it will have a mixture of water and oil. The turbo side is almost all oil.

Dollars to donuts its the JUN can, with its single chamber for both sides. Unless you have other crankcase pressure issues, such as broken ringlands..

You cannot convert AGP's passenger side can for connection to the intake pipe either. Not if you want it to work correctly. The passenger side flows 2 ways, mostly as a fresh air intake. Under boost, the opposite, a crankcase discharge. You would require a can that keeps airflow clean both ways. The AGP can does not achieve this.

Yup dead on. Catch can is in the garbage and car is running great! Minus the gunk that flows through it.

That said, have that back of my mind feeling the first turbo was fine...

i think issues will ONLY occur if both sides uses same and common catch can, but dont quote me on this, this just based on what i have read.
does anyone here have same issue using separate catch cans?

It's when you put a check valve into the system when you have problems. The pressure has to go somewhere. Short of the freezing issue.

Check valves are also prone to sticking from gunk of freezing material.

I'm running two separate catch cans. On the passenger side the can simple has a breather and no lines running back into the intake (my sri has only one outlet available :[ ) no problems. So far so good, but I think I need to get a different reducer, my line blows off the vc under repeated runs in high boost. The reducer I used has no lip for the clamp to grab the line onto -__-

So is this the best way to run the passenger side? I currently just have a filter on the valve cover. Because when I realized the issue with the JUN can I quickly switched its setup.

What's the difference between something like the AGP breather, and just a filter, in the way it operates? Or does it just simply provide a place to store oils.

What's the optimum setup? A CC with a breather that has both a line to the VC and to the intake?
