BTR Stage 1 - Break-In Process?

I have a 2014 2.0T R-Spec. It is pretty much stock. I have a K&N drop-in air filter and a vented & capped stock BOV. I am about to pull the trigger on a BTR Stage 1 tune with the NGK 1-step colder plugs.

I read that you have to drive the car normally for a week to properly break in the new ECU. However, I only really drive my car on the weekends. I have a work vehicle so the Genny is basically a weekend warrior. How should I go about the break-in period? Will it take me a month of weekend driving just to break it in correctly or what?

Break in is only required on a new engine/rebuild of any kind (which you should be way past). There is no reason for any break in on a stage 1 from BTR and the 1 step colder plugs is not required for stage 1 either. Your efforts should go into ditching that stock BOV and opening up the exhaust.

There is no break in for a tune only new engine parts like said above i.e. new engine/transmission have break in periods.

Drive it how you want to drive it.

The ecu(stock or tuned) will learn and adapt to your driving style whether you drive aggressively, or for fuel economy.
