Default 2013 badge

I know this question has probably been asked 100 times. But will the wing badge install correctly on a 2013. If so, how easy is it? What's the best way to do it? Who to buy it from? Sorry if the answer to this already exists... Too lazy to look.

I have replaced the rear badge already it's really easy to do. Remove the trunk lid trim and there is 2 screws holding the emblem in. Remove the 2 screws then since your car is new the 2 way tape on the emblem should just peel right off with your fingers. The front one I will be changing once I put HIDs in since you have to remove the bumper anyways.

No need to remove the trim piece and the screws. Dental floss took my rear emblem right off, screws included.

To remove the front, I just took some pliers, and grabbed the H emblem, got a tight fit, and torqued the emblem until it broke. I kept doing this around the emblem until it was completely removed. It took about 3 minutes and didn't leave a mark. No doubt, removing the front bumper is the preferred method, but the way I did it was sure a heck of a lot faster, and I had no desire to save the emblem anyway.

IMHO. YMMV. Member FDIC.

No. We removed the bumper (which was fairly simple), unscrewed the front fascia piece (which is just the badge circle and the silver pieces), taped off any black portions of it and only dipped the silver pieces. Two coats. The badge was purchased from PowerAxel with the shiny black coating.

Hey Guys! forgive me if I repeat someone's comments.
I had great difficulty getting to the screws that hold the rear badge.
first: I couldn't fully remove the cloth cover, there was a plastic lever that seemed to be holding it in place and not letting it come off. and then, I couldn't locate those two screws everyone has been mentioning, can someone post a picture or a detailed guide explaining the removal and installation of the badges? or perhaps refer me to a post in this forum that already stated that?

Thanks in advance.

As other stated you do not have to take off the screws in the rear, but here is a video to show you how.

Anyone had first hand experience purchasing / installing the steering wheel and hub emblems? The run through for the steering wheel piece looked a little dicey, also didn't look like the hub ones would come out / be replaced easily

The steering wheel emblem is kinda cheap, in my opinion. It just fits over the H, and you can't really get it to seat very well, so when you push it, it moves around a lot. However, there's never really a time when you have to push it.

The wheel caps, if that's what you're talking about, are perfect. The old ones are easy to remove, and the new ones fit great and look awesome.

Just installed my wing emblem kit. I got the Art of Speed kit off of Import Shark. The emblems are decent quality. Not any less quality than the OEM ones. The backing is of good quality. One of the Art of Speed backplates that go behind the emblem was printed off location. The other one was fine. These backplates come with backing also. The wing kit was definetly not updated for 2013 model. the screw holes are slightly off location for the 2013 front grill. I only used 1 screw to hold it on. Also the rear ones wont screw on. Will need to rely on the double sided backing(which I dont think will be any issue, this stuff sticks damn good).
As far as the install. The front one was definetly harder than the back. I definetly agree with Jonahan, just grab some plies, grab that emblem and break it off. It will come off in about 3 to 4 pieces without leaving any marks behind. You will still need to remove that top cover that sits around the hood latch and the air vent that goes to the filter box to reinstall. The rear emblem...I tried dental floss that was fun... So I went back to the method used on the front. i grabbed it with some pliers and pulled it off slowly. At the same time I used a exacto knife and cut the backing away from the emblem. Once I got to the main body of the emblem I just ripped it out. It pulled out the pushpin type holder with the factory screws along with it. Then i took some alcohol wipes and my fingers and worked off all the left over backing. Cleaned up the circle area and placed the new wing in location.
Over all it took me 1 hour. Only cause i kept dropping the screws to the top cover over the front grill. Highly recommend using a magnetic phillips screwdriver to do this. After a few 4 letter words and my extendo magnet to get screws back, I spent 5mins to find my magnetic phillips and had no problem.

Hope this helps someone else with their kit or making the decision to buy or not.

Heres a picture of the front one installed

Iíve read every post I can find about installing wing emblems and here is the honest truth about the front install. Take the bumper off! It takes 10 minutes. It is the easiest bumper I have ever taken off. I spent 2 hours trying to reach those 2 screws mentioned in the post that says you donít have to remove the bumper. It is sooo much easier to remove the bumper. Put your big boy pants on and do it the easy way.
1) Remove the top plastic fasteners that all posts say need to be removed.
2) After that there are 2 screws, one in the front of each fender well, and 4 fasteners underneath.
3) Then gently pull from the fender towards the front and it pops off.
The scariest part is making sure to have a towel or something on the ground because it comes off so easy that you might drop it. It goes back on just as easy.

Nice to hear the bumper is easy to remove. Every car ive owned before has always been a major pain in the ass to remove.
