I do realize that when ever you make any mod to any car that you will most likely have to make additional mods to compensate for the original mod that you performed. I also know that the further you take your mods, the more things that will have to be compensated & the possibility of failure of a component is that much greater. I accept that & the cost penalty involved. This is not my 1st modified car, but I think it will be my last. I may just keep this one & that's why I've set aside a budget of $20 grand in mods after purchase price of the R-Spec. However, I picked 400whp, because I think that's the approx limit of this vehicle w/o having to replace every single thing to make it dependable & above that kinda of power, traction will be a bitch.

Oh c'mon Tufast.. You realize every time someone says "this will be my last modded car" they actually mean that "I can't actually ever stop modding anything.."
![]() I have an empty Bawls bottle sitting here that I'm planning on modding soon... lol

Nope, because then you'll end up modding your kids and wife.

Nope. Once you've messed with them they're worth far less that what you got them for.

I also have Rods and Pistons/ Bottom end componants hopefully not too far to follow. Once we actually get the chassis with the 4 cyl in it, we will develop our manifold and turbo setup further. Also an off road pipe should be in the works for the guys that want to keep the stock turbo. I am also gonna take a close look at the chassis and suspension to spot any weaknesses there. We will definitely keep you guys posted |

Another thing someone hasn't talked about when controlling ponies is the power bias of the car. We don't have a 4WD dyno in my town, so we had to modify my friends GSX to run FWD only (locked the center diff). He ended up dynoing 409 to the front tires. Driving the car in FWD was MUCH different than AWD (hilarious really). Simple principle, but the results are much more exaggerated when experienced
.Back on topic, I'm really glad to see companies jump onto the 2.0T as well as the 3.8. I have your site tabbed so I'll make sure to get the updates. Good luck with the testing! |
