It's a PONY! isn't it? I;ve always wanted a pony, with a thick blonde mane and I will call him buttercup and he will be my friend and we will read together under the old oak tree and then gallop back to the house for lunch!

The plan is to tear it apart and begin our development of high performance parts for this engine. I'll post some more detailed photos later once I can get our engineer to give me his opinion on things.

To be honest with you I wouldn't know...but here is the story of how we acquired this engine....

----Luke, the owner of Beyond Redline, was on his way to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on a secret tuning training mission when his single engine biplane he contracted started to have engine problems. So to avoid crashing they (Luke at his ace biplane pilot) made an emergency landing in Anseong South Korea. Upon inspection they found the engine was completely toast, the 1923 vintage motor had turned it's last prop.

So, knowing they must do something Luke and his pilot started to wander the countryside when they happened upon the Hyundai Motor Plant. This gave Luke an idea. For the next 6 Months, he and the pilot tunneled there way into the Plant grounds. Once they had completed the tunnel, they would sneak into the plant under the cover of darkness and take 1 engine component at a time. This grueling task took another 14 months to complete. After all of this they took these motor pieces back to their wounded aircraft and assembled the motor. It was a stout looking, all aluminum 4 cylinder engine. It was an engineering feat to get it to fit into the place of the original radial engine of the craft, but they did it. Luke popped a spare EMS unit onto it that he always carries along (he thought about decoding the ECU they stole, but didn't want to spend more time) and got the motor to fire. They found the motor to be extremely smooth and powerful, especially for the old biplane.

Soon they were back in the air. By now the training mission was over (the owner tried to tune his DB7 and blew it up, it was a shame, being the only DB7 in Mongolia and all) and they headed back to the states. They landed the plane at the Green Bay airfield and quickly shuttle the plane to Beyond Redline. Luke and the Pilot knew they didn't have just a sonata engine, they had the brand new World designed engine that was to find a home in the new Genesis, one the most anticipated Sport Compact Cars of this Century.

At least that's the story I was given

Hi guys. The insides of this motor look pretty promising. Other than the rods and pistons, the rest looks decently strong. I do have to sonic test the walls, and may go so far as to machine out a sleeve just to see what type and how thick of material was used. Either way being that it is a factory turbo motor, it has to be stronger than a honda block.

In stock form I would expect that this wouuld hold around 400 whp, but only time will tell. Also the tune up has to be on or 250whp would destruct it.

Can't wait to devolp some parts for this thing.

I will contact tim so you guys can see the rest of the pics
