Talking TurboXS Introduction & Parts Line Up - The Prelude

TurboXS
The Prelude!

The Introduction:
TurboXS would like to announce it's venture into the Genesis Coupe Market. We have a full product line in the works for the Genesis Coupe 2.0T & 3.8. Just a little background we have been in the Sport Compact Performance market for over 10 years now specializing in Turbocharger Accessories, that's the "XS" part. We are mostly known for our RFL Blow Off Valve and our Engine Management called the UTEC. Our parts line up also includes Intake Systems, Exhaust Parts, Intercoolers and Turbokits.

The Coupe Baseline:

Our shop car is a base 2.0T Gen Coupe and a 2.0T RSpec. We threw the base 2.0T on the dyno with 30 miles on the dash. This is the typical life of a development car. We have a Dynapack dyno which we have been using to help of R&D products since 2001. After a few runs we were able to get a decent baseline of 198 whp & 223 ft. lbs.

The Baseline:

The Exhaust Part 1 (Stealthback):
The Downpipe which we knew was going to be the 2nd largest bolt on horsepower gain on the car. We devised a downpipe that removed the 2 catalytic converters. Just bolting these parts on showed to be a decent gain in horsepower over the stock car.

With these parts alone we were able to make 211 whp & 236 ft. lbs. Pretty good but not quite where we wanted to be.

Stock vs SBE Dynoplot:

Engine Management Pre-lims:
Our First Approach to this vehicle was to isolate a perfect tuning basis for the vehicle. We have spent the last few mo's cracking the Factory ecu. We are at the point where we can tune the ecu to support our engine modifications now. Our kit will offer tuned maps for our products and some others that are available on the market. As well as 91 & 93 octane maps, allowing suitable mapping for both coasts and places in between.

First Tuning Results:
After countless hours of staring at hex code we were ready to try and reap some of the benefits of our hard work. A few tweaks to the timing, fuel and boost maps. We were able to extract some additional power out of the vehicle. The aim was to just effect the horsepower curve. This was also achieved without a huge increase in boost pressure 17 psi to be exact.
The gain over the stock ecu map with our SBE 59 ft. lbs. & 42 whp over a stock car.

Dyno stock vs SBE w/Tune:

Genesis 2.0T Stealth Back Exhaust Price: $315
Geneiss 2.0T Reflash Price: TBA

So we would like to say Hello to the fellow Enthusiasts.... Let's have Fun!

We have been developing our own reflash technology. We have not affiliation with Power Axel at all!

X2

Or will it have to be retuned at a TurboXS or a TurboXS authorized vendor?

Nice results too!

Initially no, we will not offer user tuning. Once we settle down the quirks we will have a user tunable version available.
