3.8L >> 4.5L Stroker Kit

Hey all,

Just doing the prelimenary research on the V6 and we've come up with a 4.5L Stroker kit. Beefier connecting rods (h-beam), utilization of the stock pistons OR (forged pistons available for those wanting a better slug in the hole), race type con rod bearings.

This coupled with our ported cylinder head kits will definitely make for a killer 4.5L! Here's pics of the head work we're currently vamping up for our 3 race cars and the short blocks being built.

Oh dang, that's going to be a monster.
I wonder what it will do to the redline, how much lower?

And the all important question, how much? I'm guessing that it will be pretty pricy but worth it to N/A people.

Wow that 3300 price wouldn't be that bad if the hp numbers are right. Can't wait for the dyno!

That 3300 price is not bad at all for a stroker
kit period. Espicially since they offer a core
system. I paid 3800 for my 408 stroker on my camaro.

Everyone is always about peak hp numbers which is almost always at a rpm we almost never reach on a DD.

I'm all about the dyno. Let me see that low-mid range power.

4.5 will be a monster.

Coming from the M3 world (meh don't ask..), the 4.6 stroke for the S65 V8 4.0 engine bumped horsepower by 25 - 30% depending on supporting mods. As a matter of fact, I am stunned this stroker kit retails for 3,300 USD! The S65 stroker kits retail for over 20,000 USD with a core exchange!

I'm guessing this will be good for high 3xx wheel numbers with a much linear torque curve. I would assume the revs to actually be HIGHER than OEM if the rotating assembly is lightened. I would personally opt for the knife edged crankshaft.

Keep us posted!

The $3300 is definatly a good price, but people also need to keep in mind that that cost doesn't include the AEM ECM and a number of other items which are fairly expensive as well.
