Congrats to Turbokits for bringing hope to all 3.8 owners - who crave additional power.

I think this question was allready asked... but I did not see a reply to it so...

Turbokits can you set up a group buy for the first bunch who sign up?

thxs!

Daycare ain't cheap either! and now with the second one born just a month ago... Plus we just bought a new house close to her mom that I have to completely gut and remodel top to bottom... But, You can't give up hope and you got to keep fighting!

It would be nice if in a package price the engine parts could be sold to us at a cheaper price than we could source them for.

Either way I don't see me purchasing a turbo kit or even trying to fabricate one. The newborn combined w/ a wife staying at home has all but assured that my disposable income, is now disposed of on family things instead of garage things. But I sure look forward to watching the rest of you play w/ this awesome kit.

On edit: And a clutch and flywheel added to the package.

I guess I want to know what it would cost me in parts and programming to have a 500+ rwhp car.

I would also be in the boat for upgraded pistons, rods, clutch, flywheel. If you sold those individually or as a "Boost Reinforcement" package that would be awesome for those looking for modularity in their build. It would be much easier for someone who doesn't initally have the 10k+ to throw at their car at once. Customers could buy the Turbo kit; then when money allows. Buy the "Reinforcement Pack", up the boost and have a field day.

This is the only reasonable way to get more power... Everything else just a money pit.

It was posted a few pages back $6500 - but if you read the thread - there was some early savings $$$$ to anyone who followed the thread from the begining. No big deal - to most people here an extra $1000 discount is no big loss. kidding btw! please read next time

That's what you're worried about? Seriously? It prob won't change if you stay out of boost. In boost you'll use more fuel. Simple as that.

With a supercharger on the 3.8, my gas mileage has turned out to be pretty exceptional, all things considered.

During my daily commute, which is a mixture of city and rural driving, I see 17-20mpg. While cruising on the highway, I've seen anywhere from 26-34mpg, depending on what speed I'm cruising at. Naturally, mileage takes a huge hit if I decide to drive aggressively.

Since the turbo'd vehicle is not going to be subject to boost all of the time, gas mileage should be just fine.

We will definitely be building a kit for the A/T. Other than that, we have no details yet. Thanks for your interest

@TK.com- I'm sure you guys are sick of answering questions on here, but after reading this thread and the Rotrex Supercharged 3.8 thread, I too have a question: Since you guys are saying that it's definitely recommended to go w/ forged internals after going FI on this motor, will you guys possibly make a complete kit so that we can buy it all from one place? i.e. turbo kit AND internals?

They never said you need forged internals, the tune is conservative and will be a bolt-on kit set to 380whp. They also offer aggressive tunes with more boost for those who would like more power, for that setup, it was recommended to change your pistons. The pistons can be purchased through BTRcc as well, if you'd like.

I don't know what I plan on doing yet, I don't have the patience to wait any more than 4 months for the release of this kit. I want to enjoy the kit for the summer, otherwise I may just move buy another car.
