In a word, NO.

It will not work on this car, but if you have more money than brains, go for it.

Really, if you have to ask, you should sell your car and buy a moped.

Then you'd be the first to figure out the tuning issues with this car that smarter people than you and I have yet to accomplish. Best of luck to you, and I hope you enjoy your amazing turbo sound...

I wouldn't be so critical on STS. I spoke with the owner at SEMA, saw a pretty damn impressive C6 in their booth. I get that tuning will be needed, but that's a whole other issue outside of the hardware. Tuning concerns will subside if more and more options become available hardware wise.

Think about it, you're AEM or Haltech. Somebody tells you, "Hey I really want to turbo my V6 Genesis Coupe, and you should make a unit for tuning!"

Is that super enticing to you, to go invest 1000s in development, because one guy decided to turbo his V6 instead of just buying the turbo version from factory? No way. If the same dude comes in, points out 3 or 4 other companies that are developing hardware for the car and actually making production kits, not just one offs, I think you stand a much better chance of getting new tuning options.

I know with STS it seems silly to run all the extra lines to the back of the car, but its still an option. I'd be talking to STS about any concerns you may have to see if they'll come in here and explain their product and talk with the community, rather than just shoot it down because we THINK its not a good idea.

I'm not bashing on STS. I am trying to tell the OP that as of this moment this is not a vaible option for this car, it is not as simple as bolting on a few rear mounted turbos in the morning and driving out in the afternoon with 100+ more horespower. Is it possible in the future? Sure, it can be.

+1

not bashing the company. It seems like a very successful company... but for the coupe at this time as stated... it is not a one day thing

You said nothing of the sort! You were short and terse offering zero logical explanation to OP. If it wasn't "hatin" then I wouldn't know what to call it. The only thing you "told" him was that its a bad move and that he wasnt as smart as the other people who tried to do it before him. Even if that's true, It's less than civil conversation.

I've spoken with this company's owner at SEMA as well. A respectable man with a viable product. C'mon, guys, name one aftermarket turbo kit that needs no ecu tuning! If OP doesn't know that we should inform him rather than ridicule him. End rant...

Anybody that goes to STS Turbo's web site, that even has minimal knowledge of cars, should be able to come to the conclusion very quickly that the system will not work on this car. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings by being direct and sarcastic. Because your post in this thread is so full of useful information. Thanks for participating, please see the receptionist for your parting gift.

See above post for relevance. I've seen this product work. Sorry it isn't made for gen coupes, personally. My feelings aren't hurt, but thank you for the apology. If your receptionist is anything like you I think I'd expect a great kick in the teeth on my way out. Why all the rude sarcasm, man? I'm sure I'll regret asking you that. Lol
