Default New Fuel Rail 3.8

I can have a local shop make some aluminum ones for a decent price -

I can have it copied exactly but cast in aluminum or I can have them Bore it out some

What are your thoughts?

I don't see why it couldn't be done?

Do you have dimensions? I could throw something together in CAD for you to take to your local machine shop to build?

Brian thanks,

I've marked up the pictures for more dimensions and emailed them too you.

If the measurements prove to be tough to measure, I might be able to source one from Downtown Hyundai near me.

I dunno?

Maybe the same reason you chose different diameter wheels front to back?

Or maybe he doesn't like plastic fuel rails?

I don't see them making more power but maybe I'm incorrect.

Rims were chosen for aesthetics and performance. Not sure a machined fuel rail will provide either?

It's not to make more power, it's to support more power + added reliability. And an aluminum fuel rail looks great.

What were the performance gains of going 19 in the rear?

If F/I actually becomes available for our cars, this mod will be a must.

Fuel delivery tube that connects the fuel line to the injectors. Black plastic thingies in the pictures.

You might have noticed where I said "AESTHETICS & performance".

So an aluminum fuel rail is a necessary fuel system upgrade for say a turbocharged 3.8 to get enough fuel to the injectors? I just assumed that the skinny little fuel lines leading to the rails created more restriction than the rails ever could.

No but they can hold more power, and I can make them anodize 'em blue to match my Intake Manifold. Upgrading my Injectors to 660cc as well.

And why not Brushed Aluminum is way better looking than black plastic - Well in my opinion that is.

Have you not seen my Build list - I'm just waiting for a SC or Turbo kit to hit the market on top of Being Stroked to a 4.2

I know you said aesthetics & performance, I'm just wondering what the performance increase were?

The problem with higher HP cars is that sometime you need to run higher fuel pressures, plastic rails aren't design for high pressure fuel systems.

No only that, over the years they have a tendency to crack, and they don't allow you the freedom to run altogether huge injectors if you must. They also act a little bit like a buffer for your fuel system.

Becareful with DW fuel injectors, I heard they're trouble. People on the Evo forums aren't liking them.

BR uses them exclusively without problems, I've been running mine for a long while now under all sorts of conditions and temperature without any problems.
