How would you handle the tuning? Being on the road the next day seems a bit unrealistic, unless you're gonna ship a tuned ecu with the kit.

Not much activity in here... That's unfortunate, guess everyone would rather have turbos..I for one would rather be supercharged but it has always been my preference. I have read a lot on these forums and have never seen one come to fruition, always abandoned for one reason or another which I have never seen explained.
Good luck to you, I will be following with interest.....if we get interest in this, bummer if we don't.

I already dropped the deposit on a turbo, so it's a day late and buck short for me. My main concern with this would really be reliability. The TK kit is pricy, but they have experience, a great name in the business, and there are lots before me who have boosted with turbos. Since Supercharging would be more of a trailblaze, I don't think it'd be my thing anyway.

I'm definitely interested. Supercharger for me. Something very reasonable on price would be awesome too.

I'm definitely interested. I've had a few supercharged vehicles and even custom mounted a Jaguar M112 blower onto my 6.0L Colorado rather than buy an off the shelf kit. But I had tons of room for a big roots blower in the truck, not so much in the Genesis. I've been tossing around the turbo kit idea, but I think you could put together all the parts for a supercharger kit for less $ once the R&D/fitting is done.

Yes that's our goal is to get it to be cheaper and more reliable than the turbo kit and we had a meeting today and we got our schedule for r@d is the 25 of this month the hole front of the car will be taken apart for easy access where looking at 2 kits a first one is with the rotrex 38-71 400-500 at the wheels and the last one is 700+ with rotrex 38-94 upgrade internals water methanol injection upgrade fuel pump injectors and custome values @much more but the 700hp one is on the back burner for now and we will keep you all updated on the project with pictures and videos and dates and schedule and changes with this kit

Gotta be atleast 450whp and 400wtq give or take to compete with turbo kit out now. Great news.

Sub'd for interest.

I'm curious to see how you plan on upgrading injectors and a fuel pump with the GDI engine... Hasn't been done yet.

I'm interested in a 70/70 to 100/100 bump in whp. Not turbo crazy to be honest. Sub'd.

I agree... I think something in the 390-420whp and 350-380wtq would be perfect for a street car weighing in at 3300-3500lbs. Once you drop below 10lbs/whp, your car is plenty fast. I could not care less about stupid HP wars. It's all about usable power that just puts a smile on my face. I don't care if some super modded boosted civic can beat me. I care about power to weight ratio and being able to use the power and not spin tires constantly. I want a balanced ride.

I'd be ok with 50HP on top if I can get some low end torque to get this pig moving. I too would prefer SC over turbo. But I don't want to spend $10k. The price point would HAVE to be $3k. I think that will be the issue, not necessarily building a kit. I'm sure you can source a decent SC cheap and just design a bracket. Lots of space if you remove the factory airbox.

Most decent centrifugals Will cost 2000+. Piping + tuning + miscellaneous nuts and bolts + profit for vendor will be a lot more. 3k is not what it's going to be priced at. Probably closer to 4k-6k.

Alot of cars in our price range have supercharger and turbo kits going for around that range.

I'm already getting the turbo kit, but I'm all for anything that advances the platform. Best of luck.

I might be a buyer at $4k, but $6k? Not worth it. That's turbo money. I'd rather spray (my plan anyway unless a cheap SC kit comes along). I can get a setup for $1k or a super nice one for $1500. But, to each his own.
