did they do a custom intake manifold also. with the turbo there i guess they will. right now there is no way to get air in that engine. i guess i was kinda expecting twins to come first.

I was too, though we did see the pics of those gt35rs and the 3.8 pulled... I wonder what happened with that one?

way the engine layout is, and where the turbo is located it reminds me of a 2jz-gte single turbo (supra engine)

There won't be numbers because its not finished. That pipe coming from the driver's side in front of the engine looks like the charge pipe that thasn't been tied in to the intercooler (and is also really small, MAYBE 2"?). Also they still haven't finished the plumbing of the intake...........see first pic on far right is the intake manifold not mounted yet, which of course means no throttle body, etc. I'm very interested to see how f'd up the exhaust manifold is connecting the driver's side all the way over to where the turbo is situated. I can only imagine being that long would lose a tremendous amount of heat and give some funky pulses. I know it LOOKS cool how its set up in the engine bay, but it seems to me a twin setup or a hideaway kit where the turbo is under the engine and the manifolds are more similar in length would make a more efficient setup

Hmm, I hope they aren't planning on running it off of only one bank... I don't foresee this working out too well, even if they are running the other bank into it. the difference is just too far to try and make work.

Yeah, single turbos DO work ok on V engines like the VQ35's but the plumbing looks nothing like that IIRC. This one does look weird but since it's not finished we just can't say. I'm in for #'s too! (esp dragstrip #'s. I'm getting tired of nice dynos and crappy real world results. Get out there and let 'er rip!!!!)

I assumed it's some coolant piping(hose) rerouting needed to open up spaces for ex mani's and or charge piping etc.

What about rear mount set up. That is what a lot of us did to GTOs, and it is not that hard to do for the Goats.

Lot of work for a N/A application V6 when your going to get better power to weight and a lot more bang for the buck with the I4T 2.0l

That all depends on how much power you want though. Depending on how much boost this will be seeing and what other mods have been done, this could be a 400 - 500 WHP car.

The pics sled posted are a different car too... so this is at least two single turbo V6s now.

It looks as if the pics by Sled are of a centrifugal supercharger. There's an adapter plate with a pulley connected to the compressor...

D'oh... you are correct.... I guess that's what I get for assuming. That is a Rotrex Centrifugal SC...
