Default <SFR> SFR Supercharger Kit for 3.8 V6 (Not going to be produced)

Mod edit - If you're just now visiting this thread, be advised that SFR has canceled on this project and will not be developing the supercharger kit.
/N2O

Seoulfulracing has started as a hardcore race engineered company believe or not
I know.. you see variety of selections on our store.
Due to the demands through out the years, we started carrying Emblems to bodykits, grilles, etc.
However, we've been always working on performance products for Korean cars over the years (only company to offer full line up for New Tiburon turbo kits (stage 1-stage 3 pushing 300whp-500whp+ tested @ drag/track events with our previous track, race, daily cars) and never forgotten where we really came from.

We've been working with several Korean peformance shops and affiliates to produce a true "BOLT ON" kit for 3.8 V6.
We wanted something reliable while it's easy to maintain better yet great increase in power output.

As I mentioned on the other thread
Genesis Coupe- 198 mph?
we now have ordered a kit through one of our Korean performance shop to do some testings.

Kit detail is

Stage 1 kit with regular gas setting (89-91) pushing about 380rhwp.
- No internal modification (No compression work No gasket/No piston/connecting rods)
- Bolt on pipings
- Intercooled (aircooled) set up (not watercooled)
- 6psi pulley
- ROTREX supercharger
- Easy installation (6hours or less with 2 trained machanics)
- Includes pre-tuned ECU

Stage 2 will be over 430rhwp as you seen SFR Korea's SCed 3.8 V6
but will need internal work and so on (more details coming soon as well)

Stage 3 will be over 500rhwp+ .. There is one just made in Korea and it's awesome!
More details coming soon

Pictures:

The first kit ever will be installed on this bad boy within few weeks

We will be doing dyno runs,1/4 mile testings, daily driving reliability testings and so on before we fully release this kit.

Installation pictures/videos will follow.

Price for this kit is TBA but we are trying to locate some parts domestically here in U.S to shave as much as we can.
Just to give you a rough idea, stage 1 kit installed in Korea is about $8000 USD (Note Korean labor is very cheap tho)

Once again, we are trying to get the kit made @ the lowest price as possible.
So don't get scared off yet

Like I mentioned above we are trying to lower the price to get things domestically cheaper since some of products in the kit (injectors/filters/plugs and some) are imported to Korea.
So lowering the price does not necessarily means we will be using cheaper products.

You are right. I would too rather pay more for a quality product.
But that's when you have a enough budget (Hope every customers are like you lol).
Some people still think $900 fully adjustable coilover kit is expensive and it's a tough market.
So we need to position these products as affordable as possible, so we sell more kits and customers pay less.
That is the only solution both parties are happy at the end.
Do not expect this kit under 5k tho Charger alone is over 2.5k

I'm waiting to see what kind of numbers you guys get from the stage 1. I'm hoping somewhere between 350-375.

I am very excited though .

If you plan on keeping your car for a while, I say, why not? You other choices before the GC would have been a 370z, camaro, mustang, Z4, 135i, etc.

All of these cars cost more than a GC when comparing apples to apples, and my guess is they will overall achieve less after the installation of a Rotrex supercharger if all the hype is true. Personally, I think a reasonably priced kit at first would be about "$5001" from SFR, or maybe less with a group sale.

looks great!!

Only thing I dont like it the position of the filter. I know you are kind of stuck with the design of the S/C inlet but there has to be a way of getting the filter away from the hot exhaust manifold.

your minds are still in the tiburon age, think more in the 350Z price range. When FI first came to the Z prices started at 6-7K and that was for 350whp

I dont think you will find ANY S/C kits priced that low for any of the more mainstream cars(G35/350z etc.). I wouldnt hold my breath on the Gen kit being within that price point.
