Why does everyone want to compare a stripped down model to the highest grade model of the Genesis Coupe?
Because life is full of trade offs and it's reasonable to ask whether one prefers heated seats or going .5-1.0 faster to 60 or having more lateral grip , or looks, which in my opinion go to the Hyundai in this comparison. Ignoring the fact that once these cars are within a few thousand they are all basically in the same category, one will have to see what the actual OTD prices are. It's not unreasonable to believe OTD prices on Mustang GTs will be very comparable to GC Track models. When the argument starts to drift from it not competition because of the ancient live axle (performance) to it's not competition because it's a bit more expensive one should ask themselves if they are not rationalizing. At the end of they day I think it would come down to styling and if one more likes the Asian (drifting,ricer,etc..) type styling which I admit I do if done tastefully, or American muscle which I'm not so big on retro looks. I'll also say my comments are just based on superficial outside observations of the Mustang since I've only experienced it at a car show and in mags. The most recent Mustang I've actually been in is my buddy's 68 Shelby GT500 so someone is probably better equipped to comment how modern ones drive.
