One of the biggest questions on everybody’s minds may be, “
How did they get this thing together so quickly?” We knew in order to show up and play ball in this game we had to come big and fast, or go home. We studied the service manuals and even ordered a long block long before we even secured our Coupe. We knew that not only did we want to be first to the plate with our offerings; we wanted to make sure our plans were going to work, be solid, and perform extremely well for your dollar.
However up to this point we have been quite tip lipped regarding the details of the kit including the hardware, options, etc. Well today the sheet comes off!
Concept and Design
Long before we received our Coupe we were discussing different ways to offer owners options for getting some more performance out of their new ride. Of course we discussed the few products we have showcased so far including exhaust systems, intercooler upgrades etc. When it came to the turbo we had some very different and unique plans in mind. We knew that most hardcore enthusiasts would have no problem bolting on a tubular header when they decided to go for big power numbers, but also thought we had to have an alternative for the everyday customer who was looking for an easier, less complicated solution. We discussed custom “bolt on” replacement solutions but in the end decided that the compromises that are typically made in these cases aren’t worth the end result. Besides what would happened when you did decide to make the next step to that
BIG turbo….your stuck trying to resell your stop-gap solution and you have to start all over again.

Turbocharger technology has come a long way in the past 15 years. One of the greatest innovations as of late is the V-band turbine housing. It simplifies installation and servicing of the complete turbo system and offers excellent flow characteristics. While the v-band has been used for years on diesel applications it hasn’t yet made it to main stream gasoline cars for the simple fact that v-bands are to cost prohibitive to weigh out ther benefits in a low pressure OEM system. Tial Products has been a leader in the turbocharger/accessory market and due to our flawless track record with all their products we are proud to offer them in all of our upgrade offerings. Once we saw their new turbine housings for the Garrett GT turbos we knew we had to use them in our products.
Our initial design was more of a “simple” adaptor flange that would allow the end user to bolt a new V-band turbine housing to the stock manifold. We did some measuring and utilizing our 3-d printer had a sample made up.
After we did some on car fitment testing with the sample we determined that some changes needed to be made. The turbo didn’t quite sit where we wanted for a number of reasons and we really wanted to make sure this system was a complete “bolt on” affair. After a few adjustments and further revisions we were left with the following:
Although the prototype is made from machined billet parts our plan is to cast this piece from stainless steel with solid mounting/bracing points/ to ensure long term reliability and durability.
Some of the advantages regarding this design:
- Utilizes stock exhaust manifold which, when compared to a lot of other OEM offerings is very good for flow and does not exhibit any noticeable weak spots that might be prone to cracking
- Fits all sizes of Garrett GT series turbochargers including 2860RS(disco potato), 3076 (GT30) and 3582 (GT35R)
- Utilizes external waste gate for better boost control
- No compromise in exhaust flow, especially in the wastegate area, we have seen zero evidence of boost creep, regardless of what we do with this setup.
- Provides an upgrade path for future tubular manifold installation

I know what the next questions are going to be…..
”
How much will it cost?” “
When can I buy one?”
Unfortunately at this time these questions will have to go unanswered. We are working very hard to bring this product to market and internally do not know when it will be ready or what the final price will be. However, count on the team here at Beyond Redline to offer you quality products at competitive pricing. We will let you know more details as they become available.
Thank you to everyone who has kept up on our build progress over the past few weeks, we are looking forward to further developing this platform and taking this car to the next level.
