Just wondering if any other GenCoupe owners are making it to Laguna this weekend for an NCRC track weekend? Would love to see other GenCoupe owners out enjoying their car.
WillRacer1JZ and solidfish are you going? Max.......

A lot of fast cars and drivers in the open group but all super clean passing with zero incidents. We only had one delay the first session due to an off but the rest of the day had zero delays for the open group. I should be able to get a few videos up in the next 2 weeks... this week is a little hectic. I am signed up for 11/14 for now but I am sure I will also do 12/10. Hopefully we can meet up then.

Yes 11/14 with NCRC. Three run groups and spots still open in all three groups but appear to be filling fast.

If I am not up in Tahoe snowboarding over Christmas I will be there. I wish they were doing 12/31 and 1/1 again. The past two years this has been great as we lucked out with some great weather.

Sorry, I haven't been on the board for a few weeks now. I didn't get a chance to make this event due to work travels. Did you go?

It was a very wet and slow day at Laguna Seca last week. Was my first time tracking in the rain. Tried to run without traction control on the first session and couldnt stay in control. After ending up off the track, drove the rest of the day with traction control on. Felt that the Genesis's traction control was very intrusive though as its difficult to regain control after it initiates.

Taking the corkscrew in the rain, I can only imagine! Everybody needs at least one wet track day, it awakens your traction/grip sensing ... congrats on getting yours.
Good laps there in the rain, handling the corrections ... good to experience, and hey you passed some cars to boot. On the last part of the video, what did the Instructor say? That spin sure happened quick ... a bit too much throttle too soon perhaps?

I hear you. I have done a couple of wet days at Laguna and Thunderhill and without a doubt the GC's traction control is a bitch to smoothly get back on the power after it engages. I drove my friends Z06 in the rain at Thunderhill and the TC was so much better. I am sure you still had fun
