Places to drift in/around Los Angeles area?

Hey guys, I live in North Hollywood and I want to get into drifting and am looking for a safe place I can practice some low speed drifts (cone circles and figure 8s, just the basic low speed practice stuff from the DRIFT BIBLE) without attracting the cops/angry neighbors. I just want to get a feel for the car and be able to pull off some basic maneuvers before I go and spend $300 on a helmet and $150 for a 1 day track pass.

PMs would be preferred for obvious reasons. THANKS!!!

Also, would love to meet some other GC owners in the area! It seems that no one is So Cal can agree on a time/place to meet but if anyone wants to meet up/install parts/hang out hit me up!!

That is where I have been going for the past year and a half. Except It's a track, no place for you to do donuts. So you have to go balls in and try.

It only costs $20 to get you car in and practice for a good 1 hour. You can even have some of the drift guys their sit with you and talk you through it. You have to be ok with them letting them drive you car. So they can get a feel for it and explain what you should do and or try. Trust, that some of the guys that work their are pros and wont crash your car. I've let them test mine out several times.

Here's an idea of how the track is runned. (yes me drifting)

You do need a helmet but if you don't have one, they can let you borrow one or rent one, not sure. But keep in mind that others wear it too. I have a cheap $100 helmet that I used for Gokarts. But I'd invest in something better if I was you. Remember that you're protecting the most important part. Your head.

They hold them every thursday night from 6-10. It gets really packed later on the night due to late comers. So if you want more time, get their early.

Trust man, you're fine. You wont waste your tires from one hour.

Last year I did 3 drift days at Adams and the tires lasted me 20K miles. So one drift day wont hurt. The last ones I had on were replaced at my 45K mark on my car and only had 1 drift day on them but then again I do alot of canyon runs during the week.

I knew when Erick came up to SoCal from Florida, he drove with his stock 19s and went up north and back around and still went on a drift day with me. "he's the black rspec infront of me, in the video"
