Laaaadieees and gentlemen its that time again, Krash got the ball rolling last year, so it's my turn to get the ball rolling this year, I figure.

2011's SoCal Meets NorCal cruisie + meet was one of the best turnouts California Gens have ever produced, with fifty plus cars, and with all fifty of those cars driving in some cases 5+ hours to meet in beautiful Pismo beach, it was one of the best weekends any of us have ever had. Especially for those of us who drove back south, crashed at my place hours for two hours, got back up and drove to San Diego for EAF. I keeeeed!

This post will stay reserved for universal information such as WHERE, WHEN, and HOW. Post #2 is SoCal reporting roster & roll-up schedule ONLY. Somewhere after that as soon as Krash posts up THAT post is reserved for NorCal reporting roster & roll-down schedule etc.

WHAT: The 2nd Annual Gathering of Genesis Coupe drivers from across the fruited (and in some spots not so fruited) plains of California

WHY: Because nobody went to jail last time, so we gotta push our luck


Last year's BBQ ended up being a success however I think we can all agree we'd like a little more space to park. That being the case we have located a beach park directly to the west of Vandenberg AFB/Lompoc Federal Penitentiary. Sounds like a real vacation spot dont it?

This park has alot of pros - no surrounding residential dwellings, no nearby businesses or buildings of any kind, long distance from civilization, and not much to burn down. The beach is actually walking distance. However, so is the Amtrak train track.

This spot is a hair south of Pismo so it's gonna favor the SoCal drivers a bit, should put everyone about equally in the sh*tter for drive time, which is almost all Pacific Coast Highway BTW - about 4-5hrs for either NorCal or SoCal groups.

We have a chase car driving with us the entire day. It is a five seat VW stationwagon w/ pano sunroof for standup shots. The car has four slots for photographers (five if they're cozy)

VENDORS & RAFFLE INFO

Any/all vendors are invited to attend, last year we had PowerAXEL and ARK in attendance. Last year PowerAXEL actually cruised with us the entire way and was kind enough to perform tweak tuning at the meet for a couple drivers in between beers!

Vendors please post if you are going to attend, if you will be raffling, and what you will be raffling off. Vendors are responsible for covering their own raffle tickets, strippers, hookers etc.

RULES

1. Every attending driver must bring with them one each of the following items: A snack item (chips/funjuns/amphetamines) A core food item (hot dog/burgers) A consumable beverage (also known as a drink, sodas for example)

This is to avoid what happened last year where NorCal brought all the food and SoCal ate it all. If you bring burgers or hot dogs, please bring buns. Dont need to bring alot, just one or two per person. Krash and I will coordinate to handle the explosives with which to cook the food.

2. There will be a strictly enforced every ricer left behind policy. Showboating and tearing around like a f*cking moron means you get left behind, kicked out, shot at, spit on, etc etc so don't do it. Lompoc prison is VERY closeby.

3. NO CAMERAS LEFT BEHIND! Last year we only got a handful of pics and videos because we were all busy enjoying the awesome weather, cruising with our friends etc etc etc. Christrax from NorCal however put together an awesome music video and a couple guys got a bunch of good photo stock, so lets AMP THE MEDIA UP this year.

Same as last year - YOU NEED TO HAVE AN FRS RADIO so you dont get left in the dust, fumbling for cell phones DOES NOT WORK. Bring an FRS radio, bring batteries, or be left behind!

I'll edit roll stations with info as we get roll calls etc over the next four months, bear in mind if you are in San Diego you will be ROLLING at 0500hrs, south OC we roll at 0700 etc, so its an EARLY and LONG day!

I was considering opening it up to Velosters, Tibs and Gen Sedans, but especially in the case of the Gen sedans its a very different group, and as for the Tibs there are a few clicks of hotshot teenagers (and a smattering of ricers) that I dont know we want rolling with us. What do you guys think?

We invited Gen Sedans once to a Poker Run in socal with 20+ cars out of a dealership, and the older crowd in the sedans got pissed at us BK drivers for "screwing around" and then we had a Couple tibs who had mass inferiority complex, one of which blew his engine on the freeway trying to prove something.

I think that if we can get enough gen coupes, then leave it that way.

There wont be enough chick tiburon owners that will attend to make it worth inviting them, because most likely we'll get a bunch of ricers.

I would be down to inviting the gen sedans. If they don't like us, they dont have to come next year.
