Dealers not knowing about them, oh for sure. I agree.

But the rest is not entirely true. If your VIN falls into the category where the TSB needs to be applied, then they are supposed do it.

You might have to come in-person so that they can see it for themselves though.. because they had no clue what I was talking about either until one of their mechanics came for a drive with me

Thank you. I am going to my dealer on March 15th to have my second oil change and have a AEM CAI installed. I am bringing some of these TSB's with me (ECU update and sunroof slider). I will report back on how I do.

Guys, I have access to the Canadian site so I'll check it every week or so and post any new TSB's.

On another note, I was told that Hyundai will be replacing the syncros from now on and not the whole transmission for all of us with shifting issues.

Lauren ; I had the rev hang TSB done last Nov, the 1st month it was out in the USA. I brought the # in and they didnt have a clue but I kept pushing. It was Ontario Hyundai in Whitby on Dundas road near Thickson Road. I just talked to them today about the manual transmission Tsb but they have no clue.

I had the ecu rom upgrade and sunroof slider tsb performed yesterday. Also had an AEM CAI installed.

The CAI sounds amazing, it is almost worth the money just for the sound. The car appears to pull harder at lower rpm's. I can't tell if this is due to the ecu reflash, the CAI or merely the psycological effect of the tremendous roar from the motor with the new CAI.

Was this at the dealer? How much did it cost with the install?

Steele Hyundai in Halifax. Parts installation and taxes about $600. I know it was expensive, however I went for the convenience. There is no way I would have been able to install it myself. The CAI was $452.00 taxes excluded. You can get it for about $150 cheaper elsewhere from vendors on this site.

I may be repeating what is already common knowledge but I had the Rev Hang Update done in ontario for free by the dealer .. no problems at all .. I told them that there was an issue with it .. and they said no problem

There is a new TSB in the HMA site for rev hang on the 4 cyl car, and it includes the automatic car as well. Still have not talked to any Ontario Hyundai dealer who will admit to changeing the manual trans gear oil. If you had your gear oil changed by a dealer I would love to here about it !

I didn't see a rev hang TSB for the V6. I let go of my throttle, puts my foot down on the clutch and it takes about a second before that rev actually drops. If I shift a bit faster it jumps the car. If I'm pushing the car harder the rev problem is more noticeable. Anyone else?
