The place that was selling it back in January when I posted that no longer had it. Stuff is apparently a lot harder to find and the price has gone up pretty dramatic. What used to be $315 is now selling for $550.

You could have your entire car clear coated and wet sanded to perfection for that kind of crazy money, and clear coat last a hell of a lot longer than that stuff will. On top of that, when clear coat is done perfect, the depth is unfathomable.

One of the most perfect clear coated cars that I have ever worked on. The car looked like it was encased in glass.

I had the chance to see 2 trucks done with Ceramic Pro and man...I wanted it. Honestly I might shell out the 1k and do the install when i have the funds because the results look amazing

We are Having Ceramic Pro applied to my wife's Gencoupe next month. I have already hade it installed on my Black GMC and Mustang. We have had other coatings put on our vehicles in the past that were good but from my opinion Ceramic Pro has been amazing! Coatings are not cheap but the protection and the easy maintenance of the vehicle is well worth it to me. I will say it saves me 50% in time washing.

I dunno....I've been seeing this more and more lately and until I hear more about it and see some actual proof, I'm staying away from it.

The idea looks great but....it sounds to good to be true.

There's a shop here near me that will do it for the right price but...looks scammy to me.

St. Louis. And the more I hear about ceramic pro, the more one question lies unanswered: What's the difference between a 2000 dollar cereamic pro install with a lifetime warranty and a 500 dollar install and lifetime warranty of the cheaper stuff that offers the exact same benefits.

Folks over at the detailing subreddit seem to suggest: there isn't one.

I got to see the cheap stuff in person and I couldn't tell a difference.

They both offer 9h hardness, UV protection, watter repllent, anti graffiti and scratch and I actually got to see the "pound on it with a bic lighter" test myself on the cheap stuff. marks rub right out without a second thought.

Just got my coupe coated. Pretty much every detail shop I talked to in my area EXCEPT the one offering Ceramic pro claimed that ceramic pro was over priced and targeted at a different market.

Got a Sapphire X coating at literally a fifth of the price that Ceramic Pro wanted.

Same features, same benefits, same warranty (lifetime) 1/5th of the price.

If you dont mind me asking what was the cost? I had my 14 black ultimate clear bra' ed for $900 (yea I got hosed) they did a good job but I still have stone chips in the clear bra itself and on the roof and rockers that aren't covered. Im interested if ceramic is a better option.

Ceramic coatings won't offer that kind of protection against rock chips. A small pointy rock traveling at a 30-80 mph delta is going to leave a mark in anything. Clear bra works better than coatings in that regard. The coating is more for everday use, Door dings, UV damage, Dirt, etc...

I had them do the interior of my exhaust tips. so I could easily clean those and just wipe everything out with a damn rag.

I just ordered the coating from amazon (Worth the $60 experiment to me) and will do a complete clay bar and polish (should be quick, car only has 2K miles on it) prior to applying product. Will take lots of before and after pics and maybe some video showing how water sheets off (if it does as advertised lol). Time will tell.

The water sheeting is the least impressive thing for me as I can make a light polish sheet water. The test for me would be if you can you scrub on it with a cheap, Chinese made microfiber cloth and not leave the slightest hint of a scratch or marring.

I'll test that after the full week it is supposed to cure. I have a whole bag of those micro fiber cloths from costco lol. Won't know unless I test it right??
