To what degree is the problem? honestly im not really disappointed with the transmission, i dont have problems with it grinding getting into any gears. Of course when the transmission is cold i have to walk it into 2nd and 3rd and if im doing low rpm shifts, but anything above 3.5k rpm is like butter. My problem started recently, if im slowing down with the transmission in neutral and move the shifter to the left (between 1st and 2nd) i get a really noticeable rub/grind that can be felt and heard to a degree. this continues until the car slows to a stop. only happens when the transmission is nice and warmed up (doesn't happen all the time).
What have you done to try to get it fixed? well iv been looking through this thread for about a week reading all the posts and cant find any reference to my problem. however, when it gets warmer im gonna try switching to redline D4 ATF.
im just interested to know if any1 else has a problem similar to this and if they where able to fix it.
Per request, and to help minimize clutter, I have created a new thread for this issue similar to what I did with the Hood Alignment issue. First and foremost, I want to recognize Quartermaster for originally getting the ball rolling with his poll thread which you can read at:
Poll: 5th Gear grind survey for HMA mgmt
Hyundai Motor American Consumer Affairs will now monitor this thread to get an idea of who all is having this problem.
If you are having any type of major grind or issue with your manual transmission, please copy and paste the following:

THIS DOES INCLUDE CANADA as I am sure Mrs. Lenderman can relay the information for the community
Mods, if possible please sticky this for the time being to help HMA. Thanks.
