Default For Those installing Supertone Horns-Now Accepting Paypal

Would anyone be interested in the plugs for the OEM horn so that Hella/Solecci Horns don't have to be spliced into the stock harness? I can buy the minimum amount (10 connectors) through work. They are $6.99 a piece, and there is a 6-8 week lead time.

I would prefer to use a plug, so I don't have to strip back the stock wires, and risk ruining them.

Again, I have to buy at least 10. I would want two, and another member on here wants two, so there would be at least 6 connectors available. I can order any number over 10, so 12, 14, 18, etc.

Would anyone be interested? It'd have to sell to at least three members before I could proceed.

I'm sorry that this is in the wrong thread, I can't post in the classified thread, but I thought this would help out many people.

As I told you, I want two. If we can get two other people, I'll split the extra with you so we can get them.

So if we each buy 3 connectors, and we can find 2 others to buy them, at least it sort of offsets the cost for you(which I bet is what you're trying to do).

I'd be interested in PnP Supertones.

So do you want 2 of the connectors? They are $6.99 each. And I'll have to ship them. So if we can add $4 to cover the shipping(in an envelope) we're looking at $18. You down? I should have a final schematic of the piece (just for final reassurance) tomorrow. You in? Again, this is just for the two connectors to allow the supertones to be plug and play. This would not include the actual horns. You down?

One more person please?

I understand the concept. I'm down, and we can call it 20 even.

Yea, that might be easier. I'm not sure if I'll be doing paypal or not. I don't have an account. $20 would be fine. Doesn't paypal charge fee's?

I can order any multiple over 10. I don't have paypal at the moment, maybe I should get one. It would take two. There are two stock horns, and two supertones to replace them. The stock connects on the horns are not removable.

I wasn't planning on it. There is a pretty long lead time(like 8-10 weeks) for the part. I might order a couple more than I get paid for, just in case. It depends.

I think I'm going to get a paypal account. Is there any other way? I'll have to look into how to then transfer that money back to my bank account.

Would you guys have a problem sending the money as a "gift"? I'm not sure how much Paypal would take, but if I can save everyone(an myself) a couple of bucks, I would like to.

Paypal charges 3%. I'd rather pay 20 (covers the 3%+) and have the slight peace of mind that comes with it.

TECHNICALLY, asking for the 3% is against the terms of service, so most build it into the price. I'd be OK with gifting if there was some sort of seller rating on this forum, but there isn't.

In any case, I'll work with you to have a clean option for installing Supertones.

Gifting gives no recourse. And you have to provide your name and address for the shipper.

Get a PP account. just need a valid email address. No cost to join.

the 3% fee is reasonable. just set the price @ $20.00 shipped in U.S.

using PayPal gives both parties greater assurances, and some (iffy) recourse if you're a SCAMMER!

Turns out my girlfriend Kelly has a paypal account. So I'll probably just end up using that.

I think I will be setting the price at $20 shipped.

I apologize for the delay, things at school are pretty busy. I don't get on here too often. I ordered a single "sample" of the part which I should have on Friday. Then I can play around with it and start taking orders for it.

The only "hard part" is going to be attaching the new wires to the connector. There is a recession where they have to connect. I'll get a picture of what I mean. Bending one of those crimp "eye" connectors at a 90 might work. I'll have to look at it. Either way, it'll be better than stripping the stock wiring harness back and slicing in. At least I'll get to play with it to figure something out without taking the car apart.

Anything come of this?

I'm relocating my horns and a male spade .110" crimp connector will fit in the OEM plug perfectly. I'm making some extensions to move the horns out to the sides.

I actually have two of the plugs I ordered. I took pictures the other day and thought I posted here, guess not.

It appears you cut the stock connector off the wires, my goal was to find a way not to do that. I know a spade connector would probably work, but to get two of them in there would be the challenge.

I'll get picture of them, and can now collect money(as I've confirmed they are exactly like the OEM ones).

So Far it's
1)LandoAWD
2)thestig
3)Rspecdcoupe
4)Jpc647
5)RedBullPL
and obviously me.

Right?
