Default Can't afford Brembo's?

I sure as hell can't... not for $2000+. So I went out and bought red brake paint and painted them myself. It turned out really well! I'll take more pics when I finish, I did the two back brakes today. On a side note I was really impressed how easy it was to take apart these brakes... it should be very easy to replace the pads, even for noobs like myself.

The green is tape I didn't take off yet.

Make sure they function as intended. We don't want to you plow into the back of a minivan with kids because you missed a screw or an attachment. Hahaha!

Man, those should resist fade and perform just as well as the Brembos now!

Not bad. Don't mind the **** other people give you. The stock brakes on my GTI were red and weren't Brembos.

LOL

this is cute.

You know you can buy little brembo decals. They sell them so if/when you repaint your calipers you can put new logos on at the same time.

actually that would be pretty sick if you stenciled it on there with white high temp. paint

lol I don't think i'd put Brembo on there. Maybe Gen Coupe or something like that. It may be a little hard to do though, that Brake paint is very runny for about the first 2-3 minutes.

looks good lol, but i'll take the bremos not for the looks but for the stopping power. I wonder how good are the stock cailbers? If they are somewhat comparable i might keep them, but i doubt it

It drys very quick.. the bottle said put one coat per 10 minutes, but make sure to put every coat on within an hour. If you dont it said you will have to wait a week before adding any more coats. I did 4 coats, let it dry over night and it was ready to drive. it may be easyier to brush it on if you have patience. You won't have to take the brakes apart. Although as I said before, these brakes are very easy to take apart.
