and jeremy (that's your name right, again...long time dood), it's actually a process that utilizes just a little more resin than pure dry carbon. thus we call it dricarbon. it's a more advanced form of vacuum infusion, which is our basic level of production. you like that double sided goodness eh?
Ah you remembered LoL, but spelled Jeramie (Jerry).

Yeah dricarbon good for me.....I'm no pro racer, just been biding my time hoping someone would come out with something close to drycarbon, but it's still advanced vacuum infusion which what I'm keen on.

I'm going to have to do alot of begging & saving, but I really want that hood.

Well...sounds to me like those wedding bells are getting more and more distant. But, most of all, you should be happy with the priorities you choose.

I remember when I had money down for that hood. I'll be jealous of whoever gets one!

Don't worry, those wedding bells are still ringing in my head & I won't let this interfere. If it come to one or the other, I will forget about the hood or any other mods for that matter. Although after the wedding....it's on like donkey kong

that hood is priced pretty well, and is DANG fine.
as for the snorkel, anyway to make it so it has more flow? wishful thinking

seems like i forgot to answer that. we smoothed out the flow slightly, but honestly i will tell you it's not going to really make a substantial difference. you would need to drastically change how air is brought into the oem style or cpe style box. this is really more for underhood prettiness

Good to hear.
I'm not a fan of the hood design, but I like the process.
If you could imitate the VIS AMS hood (atleast equal functionality) I'd definitely be interested.

Need more cooling in the turbo area.

sorry. we're not going to do the ams hood. we've invested the money into the mold and the production. can't satisfy everyone right? if vis ever wants someone to make it using us, we'd be more than happy to do it. the mold and the labor itself is the main cost.

once production of the snorkel is underway, i may allow a special price for pre-purchasers

also: i will be interested in making an engine cover. i've got to make a visit to the dealership to do a mockup, or steal someone's v6

Have you also considered a CF airbox top cover ?

also: i will be interested in making an engine cover.
That would also be excellent!

Chris if you shoot that hood in fiberglass I'll buy one at the drop of a hat, because I'd want to paint it. I need to vent my bay due to the new top mount turbo. Painting that much dollar value in carbon wouldnt be right, plus homo blue BKs just can't rock carbon IMO

This is my favourite hood design, i'm glad someone's doing it in CF. doesn't someone already make this one in FG, though?

Nope. There are similar (kind of) designs, but no direct copy or anything. Just waiting for production to start on this...

there was a custom piece in korea that is exactly this one. the fiberglass version costs over $1k if i remember correctly.

quartermaster - i'll see into making a fiberglass one. however, to note the hood is secondary - we are going ahead with the snorkels first. that will take 2 weeks for production (20 pieces will be made), and 2-3 weeks for transport/customs clearance. only after the snorkels have started selling is when we will begin production of a hood. it would be going into the late winter, early spring before any hoods wood be ready

thanks
