Default Blacked Out Emblem

Alright so Im looking to black out my emblems but don't really want to use plastidip. Is there any other ways of doing them and making them look nice? Not really wanting to pay 50$ on importshark for one of theirs. If you guys have any pics or instructions that would be great

Did it on my H in the back and it looks great. Just do 3 coats. Light enough so the paint doesn't pool together and stays drops. I originally had plastidip on mine as well and redid it because it didn't have the smooth finish I wanted.

I say do it right the first time. Sand, primer, paint.

Agree.

Unless of course you use plastidip. Which would be good if your looking for more a flat look and you can just peel it off if you don't like it.

I agree with neonhero on the doing it right which is what I in ten on. And I am looking for the matte or flat look but wouldn't the flat paint still provide that? At least Im assuming lol

I did flat black rustolem without sanding. Just cleaned with alcohol. Haven't had any issues with it since.

Engine enamel. Very good stuff. And yes prep correctly wet sand and seal it if u want just prime it black and seal it. Wrap it in flat vinyl also. It's what I did first but didn't like it on my gloss black car. Looked out of place. Just going to shave my emblems altogether someday..

I did the flat black spray paint and it turned out great. Just one other thing though, what should I use to reapply the emblem? Like the adhesive that was on there was taken off so I need to redo that

3M double sided, or buy the precut ones off a KDM site.
