Unfortunately, still having the same EXACT issue with new bulb and harness. Swapped ballasts, issue still exists.

Are you sure that relays aren't needed on this kit??? I bought the kit that doesn't use relays. I spoke to Garrett on the phone; the only thing left to try is using a relay....

in cold weather, the relay is needed 100%. I dont know why, my ballast worked great in the summer but as it got colder, the passenger wouldnt work. I bought an ebay relay harness and it works whenever i turn it on, only weird effect is that if the car is off and I turn it on, my driver side doesnt work. only when its running and cold weather it will work with out any problems.

edit: My HID kit came from Trumotorsports and relay harness from ebay.

This is actually all very interesting. The 2013 is so new and this is the first cold weather the 13 is experiencing. Theoretically, you shouldn't require a relay, but if a relay is what fixes this problem, I guess we will just have to automatically include a relay with the 2013 kit. Anyway, 13rspec keep me informed on that relay I'm sending you, I would very much like to know if it solves your problem.

I cant believe how many people are having problems with their HID's. its simple. Get a CANBUS HID ballast. Ive had one since day one. Zero problems!!

CAN-BUS has nothing to do with the quality of the ballast or components, although most people think that because they cost more. They have built-in capacitors to deal with DRLs, where needed in some vehicle and in German applications. You do not need CANBUS for the Gen Coupe.

I bought HID Fogs and HID low beams from you guys. The Fogs would turn off upon start-up and so would the right low beam. Tried using a relay didn't make a difference.

Went to a local shop showed them all the problems I was having. They connected a CANBUS system to the fogs and turned on the car... they worked. So I ended buying a set of low beam and a set of fogs from them. Installed it myself and its been working ever since. No relays!!

Im not saying i know anything about HIDs. I'm just presenting you with my situation and how things worked out.

having the same issue with my DD kit as well..
What I do for now is I turn on the lights with the engine off and let it warm up first. Then I start the engine.
I do have a relay but it was not long enough to reach the other headlight.
Do I need a second relay for the other headlight?

No, we do not have their dust caps. Unfortunately, you really can't buy specific parts from aftermarket manufacturers.

Are the bulb holders necessary? What exactly do they do. And are the dust caps still out of order? What do they do as well?
