A little more about R2C:

WE ARE FILTER GEEKS
The ability to provide the highest quality products isn't something that comes overnight. For us, it came through hundreds of hours of testing. Our devotion to product testing and constant innovation has enabled us to create products that surpass industry standards and the standards of so-called performance filters on the market today.

R2C PowerFlow Performance Air Filters deliver:

-Efficiency: The most efficient performance filter on the market
-Restriction: Lower average restriction throughout the life of the filter than any other performance filter available
-Dust Capacity: More dust holding capacity than any other filter available
-Cleanability: Compressed air cleaning only and NO OILING REQUIRED

Don't believe we're obsessed with filters? So when you think performance and quality, only one high performance air filter should come to mind: R2C Powerflow Air Filters, where we guarantee you will “Feel the Power.”

Thanks.

You're in Murrietta, can you still get away w/ shredding up the tight side of Palomar or have the cops gotten too bad? I spent years dragging knees on all of those roads on my GSXR1000s. So effin fun.

You can calculate an engines needed air flow pretty easily and when I chose an air filter element I always try to get one w/ zero restriction at my required CFM.

3.8L engine

3.8L = 0.134195 ft³

92% efficiency around redline so it really pumps .1234594 ft^3

It's a 4 stroke so it only pumps air 50% of the time so .0617297 ft^3 per engine revolution.

At 6500 RPM it pumps 401.24 CFM. So ideally, for absolutely no restriction in air flow to maintain VE (maintain high pumping efficiency) you want an air filter that can flow at least 401 CFM w/ as close to zero restriction as possible on an NA 3.8 turning 6500 RPM.

yeah Jay, I should be going in there sometime soon either this weekend or next week after work for those high res shots. And guys take it from me, when i bought my car i had the stock airbox on for about 9 months until i got the RRM system. Then i was approached by R2C and i got the prototype system on my car and i have had it on my car for 9 months and it is AWESOME...... i can definitely feel the difference in the different intakes. As another note, I was honored to help with this project and was proud to be a part of this. The guys at R2C have this intake system figured out... trust me... numerous visits to the shop, dyno and many many emails later and we finally have a finished product. And like Jay said, these pictures do not give the intake any justice. they were taken from my iPhone so hopefully withing the next 2 weeks we will be able to get some hi-res shots. thanks again and i hope you guys enjoy this intake as much as I have been enjoying it

LOL yeah I hear you there. I think im taking my car over to shades of grey soon to get tinted and the lamin-x treatment. Then we'll take the rest of my plans as money comes.

This intake seems like the best for me. Im too much of a vag to get a CAI, and this is putting out good numbers and has a shield. Win.

This is the what the manufacturer sent me

The system reduced total restriction from approx 11” W.G to 5.8” W.G. at 395 SCFM.

The filter at 395 SCFM is approx 1.5”. Efficiency is 99.55% at 395 SCFM using ISO fine dust.
